  1. My wife obtained a copy of her son's birth certificate.. However, previous OP....
  2. Air travel with TB policy... https://www.who.int/tb/publications/2006/who_htm_tb_2006_363.pdf
  3. I intend to have a booster, but here in Oz have to wait six months from being fully vaxxed. Can get earlier based upon referral from GP, I'll mention this matter next time I see her and see what she has to say.
  4. Explain Thailand is not the same as Holland and that you would have to travel back to Thailand to obtain a 'clean' birth certificate, so please waive the bureaucratic stuff and be pragmatic. Worked for me in Australia, best of luck...If not perhaps your wife's relative/s can arrange with the Amphur, a backhander should do and mail it to you.
  5. Yes, both skin and psoriasis arthritis. managed by four tablets 500 mg a day of salazopyrin and occasionally skin ointment Daivobet
  6. Fully vaxxed with AZ, no problems with psoriasis, Wife fully vaxxed with Pfizer, both times ill for a few days with headache, sore
  7. You can take it as a given that a Clause for Covid coverage in Thailand will be required
  8. The note on deaths communicates an entirely different context to your comment. "In the context of very high vaccine coverage in the population, even with a highly effective vaccine, it is expected that a large proportion of cases, hospitalisations and deaths would occur in vaccinated individuals, simply because a larger proportion of the population are vaccinated than unvaccinated and no vaccine is 100% effective. This is especially true because vaccination has been prioritised in individuals who are more susceptible or more at risk of severe disease. Individuals in risk groups may also be more at risk of hospitalisation or death due to non-COVID-19 causes, and thus may be hospitalised or die with COVID-19 rather than because of Covid 19" In places such as the US where there are still large numbers in some areas on unvaccinated people, the number of unvaccinated persons represent the large majority of deaths from Covid 19. There are numerous reports e.g. Covid-19: Unvaccinated face 11 times risk of death from delta variant, https://www.bmj.com/content/374/bmj.n2282 Over the last few months, the overwhelming majority of people who died from Covid were unvaccinated. https://www.theguardian.com/world/2021/oct/02/us-hits-700000-covid-19-deaths-coronavirus
  9. Got a link to the report as claim contrary to other countries reporting.
  10. Here in Queensland, Australia same ruling will be implemented in the coming month or so. Authorities will leverage off an existing Covid app that is used to 'check-in' to venues, in other words fully vaxxed merged with the app, the venues have ownership for ensuring check-in compliance. I watched the other day when someone refused to check-in, police were called, still wouldn't comply so was arrested - think the fine is about $1000.00. Businesses are subject to random checks for compliance - fines up to $13,000 for non compliance. How this will work in Thailand obviously an open question due to <deleted> poor enforcement.
  11. Can't you get your partner to make some calls or visit the local Amphur for guidance?
  12. Are you claiming Thai government doesn't have a policy for medical exemptions? Medical exemption is provided for travellers entering Thailand.
  13. Thai are currently quoting BNE - BKK flights starting from 12 1/2 hours elapsed. I will be travelling with Thai as have vouchers from when they ceased flying intl. Flew with Singapore a few years back, return to India, must say we were disappointed with quality of service. Did a random date selection with Sing departing 6/12 - quotes starting with elapsed time of 14:55 hours., costing A$742.64 one way https://www.singaporeair.com/flightsearch/externalFlightSearchView.form#/booking So as I said depends on date / time of travel etc for accurate comparisons. Enough of this now, have a good day...
  14. Banglamung is a government hospital, wouldn't touch it with a barge pole for Covid treatment.
  15. Need to compare pricing and timing at the time of booking. If one prefers Thai there are flights out of BNE for approx 12:30 hours elapsed; the BNE - SYD leg is with Qantas.
  16. Has there been any reporting concerning those travelling close to those testing positive? Are they tracked down, re-tested, held in a quarantine facility for X days, whatever?
  17. In fact it is illegal in Thailand. I recall in the Covid forum it was stated someone had been arrested for posting deliberate misinformation / disinformation , no idea how many since.
  18. IMO much of this nonsense is driven by right of centre anti government political agendas. FYI as an example Australia is using bio security legislation, to address the claim government has no 'rights' to enforce compliance for more forceful policies to combat Covid anti vaxxers e.g.. mandates. The human biosecurity emergency period under the Biosecurity Act 2015 will be extended for a further three months. The emergency period, which has been in place since 18 March 2020 to protect Australians during the COVID-19 pandemic, will continue until 17 December 2021. https://www.health.gov.au/ministers/the-hon-greg-hunt-mp/media/covid-19-emergency-measures-extended-for-a-further-three-months-0#:~:text=2 September 2021-,The human biosecurity emergency period under the Biosecurity Act 2015,continue until 17 December 2021.
  19. Many Western tourists get great satisfaction from feeding stray dogs on beaches so on - zero understanding of problems caused. As an idea when entering Thailand, have signs discouraging the behaviour and reasons why, though I assume will never happen as would distract from the marketing branding of a perfect tourist destination.
  20. 11 weeks processing also applies for renewals from Oz, so isn't purely a Thai issue.
  21. Queensland still has restriction in-place for international flights, the reason being currently only 62% of Queenslanders are fully vaccinated. I assume the additional cost BNE - BKK is because only Thai have direct flights, so can get away with additional cost. SYD - BKK commencing regular flights this month. MLB - BKK currently planned for mid April 22.
  22. Currently Thai doesn't have scheduled flight direct BNE - BKK. I'm assuming the extra cost is for the BNE - SYD route.

  24. it's corruption, though apparently rarely investigated / prosecuted. If memory serves correctly there have been cases where deportation has occurred having used agents for unlawful purposes. Urban Joe can you recall any cases with links?
