  1. The last thing Prayut and his cronies want is "calm". When they have protests and disruption, it's their chance to roll the tanks out again. A bunch of <deleted> dinosaurs that should have fallen into their appointed tar-pits decades ago.
  2. There is an "expat" shop near to us that sells a full caboodle of (UK) choccy delights; Penguin, Club biscuits, Fry's, Bournville, etc. Difficult to resist..
  3. Supply always a bit hit n miss with imported chocolate. Quite partial (I say I'm buying for the kid) to the occasional "Twix" snack bars myself.
  4. There is a local Thai brand, "Yolida" that makes cottage cheese "Alli" range. The Mom & Pop shop near to us (Banchang) sells it as well as their main product, pro-biotic natural yoghurt (450gms for 65 Baht). Yolida The normal milk supply here doesn't seem affected, so far. Maybe Pattaya is just feeling it first due to the large expat consumption.
  5. When you need an Orwellian / Monty Python titled "Ministry of Culture" headed by the scion of a mafiosi family, then you probably don't have any..
  6. Flowers, molluscs, and earthworms.? A few fish, maybe. And that's about it.
  7. Yep, just think about unelected unaccountable globalist bodies, like Bilderberg Group, Council on Foreign Relations, Trilateral Commission, WEF; UN; WHO; etc, etc.....
  8. You may be correct, but he won with an overwhelming election result. From a population utterly sick of inept and utterly corrupt military "government" rule over the last nine years. If Thais don't like him, they will vote him out again. In the meantime, the Thai population should maybe start mass protests and industrial strikes until he is appointed PM.
  9. Copies or fakes. The real Buck knives (made outside US under license) start at around 1,500THB (40 USD).
  10. Processed "cheese" is about 2 molecules away from being a drainpipe or bucket. And about as tasty.
  11. If you can't find a store in CM, buy online. Most good brands (Buck, Benchmade, CRT, etc) are available from Lazada, Shopee, and the like. Expect to pay 1,500THB+ for a decent robust lock-knife. The price is depending mainly on the blade alloy material, and not just build quality. A good knife should last a lifetime.
  12. Serious, professional criminal stuff. Might be indicative of the level of criminality the deceased was involved in.
  13. Same with gout for me. (Gout is a form of arthritis). Fixed for good without requiring any (sometimes toxic) meds at all.
  14. Yes, I reckon so. Also Mae Rim Phim and other Eastern beach areas. My wife and son have no problems with these creatures, but every bite I get swells up like a small boil, and itches incessantly. Not sure why it's just me, maybe because I am a different blood group to my family?
  15. Orb Weaver spider. They are pretty big. I unwittingly walked though one's web a while ago, and found the owner perched on my shoulder. My laundry bill took a spike that month.
  16. Most of those + tax avoidance. (In the UK, anyway).
  17. Just had an enormous thunderstorm and downpour here in Rayong. Lots of flooding due to the ridiculous amount of construction and digging going on near our office. Note to self: Careful what you wish for.

Maybe "Dukes" in CM. ? https://wherestheduke.com/home/
  19. Sounds like the guy just needs a good slap, tbh. Then his livestream cam used as a proctology exam.
  20. Yes, lived & worked here in Rayong on and off for almost 30 years. How about yourself?
  21. Gym; weight training, boxing (training, cardio only, these days). Listening to music (most kinds). I enjoy walking (with my dogs, and sometimes family ????). Trying new restaurants / food, and the occasional bar. Traveling, domestic and abroad. Reading, internet, and occasional DIY on our home and properties. Sounds like a lot but this is just weekends and holidays, when I ain't working.
  22. Thailand should genetically modify it's mosquitos as per guidelines set by those thoroughly trustworthy people at the WHO: WHO says.. What could possibly go wrong.? ????
