Why do so many Thai prostitutes marry their customers?
I think it's hard to equate Thai sex work to that in the west In the West it breaks down to the high class 'escorts' and the low class druggies. In Thailand I think you are right that the older ladies they just want an out for them and their kids, and if it means sleeping with a host of old white guys until one of them falls for them, thats what it takes

US Citizen living in Thailand needs insurance for trip to the US
When me and my wife moved back to the US, before we had work place we enrolled in an ACA plan. It was day one and since we hadn't got a job the tax credits paid for it. Now I wouldn't have liked to get really sick cos deductibles and co-insurance would have been terrible. But I could go to the doc for $30 and get a prescription for $15. Got us both through until we both got jobs My wife works for DoD. Her health insurance is socialism on steroids!

"Getting out of dodge" fall-out from a failed realtionship - Guide for dummies.
Well thats a little harsh. There are quite a few of us who have been with a Thai woman for decades. Probably not from the entertainment biz, although I do know some of those who have gone the distance. But that being said, the landscape is strewn with bad Thai/Farang relationships. Bargirls, guys twice. the girls age, language, culture the list goes on how it can fail. But thats the story of human life, relationships fail, maybe in the West for different reasons, but know when to cut bait, pack what you need and leave. Always tough to leave something you think you've built, but you live and move on

"Getting out of dodge" fall-out from a failed realtionship - Guide for dummies.
Just pack what you absolutely need, couple of suitcases, pay the bag fees at the airport, shut the door and leave. No one is going to chase you down in the US. Just dust yourself down and start again

Running Out Of Money. Need Advice.
You don't get it. People lose their minds when they enter an airport. I've had drunks at 6am, but apparently it's 5pm somewhere in the world. I've been spat at when someone shows up after the boarding is complete and doors are closed Verbal tirades are par for the course And of course we're in the middle of a blizzard planes can't land and you have a spittle spewing woman screaming at you saying she has to be in Chicago by 2pm for her daughters wedding. Well you know what, it's February, plan to travel a couple of days ahead, cos surprise surprise planes don't land or take off when a runway is covered in snow My favorite was the crazy preacher who barged past the gate agent through the security door onto the ramp, plane was pushing, because he had a sermon to preach that night in TX. He ended up in jail for the night! Yeah, people are idiots in airport. Just read terms of carriage when you book the ticket and you'll be fine. But don't blame the person checking you in if you don't follow the conditions. At check in very little they can do the override the software

Running Out Of Money. Need Advice.
I do that, check you in, and chuck your bags in to the cargo bins, unload them and get them to claim Don't piss of the rampers or your bags may be lost forever lol

Running Out Of Money. Need Advice.
He's just a grifter. Even with no skills he could go home and get a job. I work in the airline biz on the ramp. Terrible money but easy, if a little physical. Somehow all the kids that work for me can afford to live in an apartment, own a car, feed themselves. I don't believe a single one of them lives in a cardboard box under a freeway overpass in fear for their life! Maybe he wouldn't be able to afford to live in Manhattan or San Francisco, but there are a thousand more cities where he could work and live a decent life 'if' he wanted to work

Completely disheartened Canadian seeking advice to bring Thai gf or wife to Canada
Rings true with me. My wife's cousin a lady of the night cycled through a few 'boyfriends" Tried France, UK, Germany, Netherlands then eventually ended up in Sweden which it seems is the soft touch for them. Of course she dumped the 'boyfriend' as soon as she got permanent residency

My friend loved street food
I have an Indian friend. He's lived in the US for decades. I remember the story of when he went back to Mumbai several years ago to visit his parents. He remembered Indian street food nostalgically. When he told his Mom he was going out for street food, his Mom said "No No No you have a Western stomach now"

Should I Tell My Friend That His Girlfriend Is Trans?
I 'thought' the definition of Trans was a person still maintaining their birth anatomy, but 'identifying" as the opposite sex But the whole OP is yet another BS probably AI generated clickbate story, which it appears we've all fell for

Over 50 and Feeling the Frustration
Well the whole getting older thing is a bit of a bitch in general. Me and Mrs G are mid 50's, mid 60's, been around the block for a few decades. We still have a pretty good sex life which is good, but I'll openly admit neither of us have the same desire for it had 20+ years ago, thats cruel nature at work, cup of cocoa before bedtime might suffice! Then there are the aches and pains. Damn it things I would have shaken off in my youth now have me racing for the pain meds So you kinda need to accept getting older and ease into it, for all it's ups and downs, or you're going to feel pretty bitter

How does a Thai citizen get a tourist Visa to the USA?
Well that may be true, and previous applications may have been 'airbrushed' by the applicant. But a B2 is subjective, whereas an immigrant visa is objective. Tick the boxes and it's a done deal. A B2 doesn't require a background check as an immigrant visa does, so a B2 really comes down to the judgment of the CO, which again gets back to that subjective 'feeling' of the CO about the applicant Like it or not given the number of Thai's in the US who overstay I get it Oh and a little factoid, the US is home to the largest Thai diaspora, surprising since I always thought given the traffic here it would have been the UK

How does a Thai citizen get a tourist Visa to the USA?
To get back to the OP The problem you have to overcome is this. You say get a visa to visit you in the US. In back of the CO's mind is that once in the US she doesn't leave and basically by-passed the normal immigration process. If you are indeed in the US, living full time in Thailand would have been better, although not a golden ticket by any means, I know from bitter experience

Are Older Men in Thailand Trading Love for Financial Ruin
Get real boys, you honestly think a girl half your age is in any way attracted to you physically? Money talks. Does any anyone actually think Melania is actually attracted to Trump? Of course not, Melania is just a HiSo hooker, difference in Thailand is you're working with a lot less money and the girls need to cash out quick

How does a Thai citizen get a tourist Visa to the USA?
Valid point. In my wife's circle of Thai friends, there is one other lady along with my wife who came in as legal immigrant visa. All the rest B2's overstayed, ended up marrying a local guy, adjustment of status, you know the story. So, I get the dilemma of the CO when they are making a tourist visa decision

How does a Thai citizen get a tourist Visa to the USA?
It's a frikkin crap shoot. I thought before we were married it was a slam dunk for a visa to just go for vacation to see my daughter who had just had a baby. She had professional job, money in the bank, house, of course she was denied! For others it seems to fly though with half those requirements. We never tried again for a tourist visa and just went full immigration which sailed though, wasn't going to waste another Dollar on a tourist application. Now, I work for United Airlines and i see a lot of Thai tourists, but pretty much they are are all on group tours, which I think is the key

What's your favorite sex position?
Teenage females, like teenage males talk. When you get to be a fully paid up adult sex is private, for both men and women If you're still in the teenage boy world, thats sad

Why Are You Even Here? The Surprising Attitudes of Some Expats in Thailand
Well there are some very distinct populations of farangs in Thailand. We all know the sexpat mongers who frequent the usual hangouts The real expats who actually work in Thailand, usually in Bangkok Older guys who end up marring a farm girl half his age and moving to the village Guys who met their spouse overseas and move to Thailand. I'll admit I'm in the latter one. Thought it would be fun after we married in Singapore Mrs G fought tooth and nail about it wanted to move to the US. Of course she was right 10 years and I was done, now Thailand is was it is a vacation destination

Americans -- did you know that Albania wants us? (Another Plan B alternative to Thailand)
This is very curious. I work for United, and for the past few weeks I have seen, what I would say are an abnormal number of bag tags going from Rapid City to Tirana. Half of me hopes it's expat's fleeing the country, not Albanian gang lords

Foreign man’s tattoo blunder: ‘Love, peace, and curry’
When i was a kid, tattoos were reserves for drunken sailors and women of ill repute. Today i feel i'm the only man on the planet to be ink free. I told all my kids, pierce what you want but don't ink it. Of course all three of them totally ignored dad's advise. I'm thinking of investing in tattoo removal stores, pretty sure thats going to be a thing

White Culture
Well on the topic of online dating, thats the way of the world now. My three kids, two American one Thai all do it. I think the idea of picking up someone in a bar as we did in the old days is almost repugnant to them. Both my youngest daughter and Thai son hooked up through some dating app, got Grandkids outta it so I'm happy Eldest daughter, she's a basket case relationship wise, online or bar hook up
