  1. The Thai-USA DTA (Tax Treaty) does not apply to citizens of other countries. You need to look at the DTA of your country. If there is one.
  2. When referring to a CPAP as portable I think that generally means one that can operate on battery power and /or is allowed for use on an airplane. None of the CPAP machines I've seen are very large. I have only had a Phillips Dreamstation (The one that had the recall). It was replaced at no charge with the upgraded one. I looked for reviews for the Contec R100 and didn't find any with a not very in-depth search. The R100 does seems to be very reasonably priced. The ResMed machines are popular and ResMEd is a well established name so would be worth looking at. Edit: The Contec machine is made in China. ResMed machines are not. ResMed was an Australian company that is now international.
  3. It helps keep numbers down if they end the Safety Campaign early.
  4. This is apparently an advertisement for the business the OP posted a link too.
  5. Don't be surprised if they don't open until Monday.
  6. I don't see that on the website. In fact it says that they can't "Authentication and legalization (apostille); Thailand is not participating in the Apostille Convention (The Hague), therefore, all Thai-issued documents cannot be apostille. If you intend to use Thai documents in some countries, you may need to have your document authenticated and legalized by the embassy of that country in Thailand." Edit: I just double checked and it does say they they offer "authentication - legalization or apostille services". It also states that they have an office in Canada and that may only apply to non-Thai documents authenticated in Canada.
  7. Anyone else notice that on the 7-11 logo the word "ELEVEN" has the letters in all upper case except the final "n" which is lower case, but in a larger font so it is as tall as the other letters. 7-ELEVEn
  8. Link for Police Clearance Service Center: https://pcscenter.sbpolice.go.th/en It can all be done via mail. I had a friend who needed a police clearance for every country she had lived or worked in for the last few years.
  9. I saw it long before I found out it is the largest in the world. I was kind of surprised, but then again it is just a a mini-mart. Sort of like being the world's tallest midget, or fattest Anorexic.
  10. Not just the largest in Thailand, it's the largest 7-11 in the world.
  11. If they can't manage to replace Sleepy Joe then FFS get rid of Kamala as his running mate.
  12. A better way of saying that is that twice as many people will think he will leave as stay
  13. When I made my will I wanted it to stipulate that my remains would be scattered around the places that had special meaning to me while alive. My lawyer refused and just pointed to the part where it said I didn't want to be cremated.
  14. Not incorrect. The alcohol in wine and beer, and any other alcoholic beverage has no calories. Sure, the other ingredients might, but not the alcohol. You just assumed that "alcohol" refers to any beverage with alcohol in it. It doesn't.
  15. Did you see the quotation marks? Probably pointless explaining the meaning of that to you. And the man has admitted to kicking her although he gave a ridiculous explanation that it was by accident because he thought he was kicking a Chinese lady.
  16. As far as the Doctor kicker goes, It wasn't social media that did him in. It was all his own doing, along with his wife. If he would have immediately apologized, asked for forgiveness, and maybe offered to pay all her "medical expenses" it probably would have never made the news.
  17. Can you give an example of a recent case that only relied on eyewitness reports? Elephant man kicking Doctor Swiss man going Muay Thai on Thai Lady in supermarket Kiwi moron brothers assaulting cop Expats operating illegal daycare centers Multiple drink driving arrests that in the past never made the news. Russian lady kicking pregnant Thai shopkeeper (Maybe that one) All of these, and quite a few more, have more than eyewitness accounts as evidence. I will agree that eyewitness accounts are very unreliable and can also be purchased for a price.
  18. It's just an acronym for their full name: Beer Eggs Somtam & Tea bags
  19. I think he has a website that insists he was innocent: www frontslash frontslash backslash frontslash backslash backslash frontslash dot com
  20. It is much more likely that the Kiwi that attacked the cop caused the gun to fire while taking it away from him.
  21. There is no sugar in alcohol. The juice or soda in a mixed drink may have plenty of sugar in it, but alcohol is sugar-free. Not good for you, but has nothing to do with sugar.
