  1. Interesting. Just by chance I came upon an article about travel risk by country. And there e.g. New Zealand is not in the highest category. Safe but level 2. Thailand is yellow (can go but prepare/take care) Southern Thailand red flag (no wonder). Malaysia safe level 2. https://www.global-monitoring.com/en/corporate/risk-map/
  2. I know about this ferry from Sattahip to Ko Samui. An overnight cruise of about 15 hours. And whether it operates at all is a game of luck. From Bangkok? Never heard about. Would be substantially longer like 17 hours or so.
  3. Maybe naming "one of the islands"? And don't say Phuket. If there was a "boat" it would be a cruise ship and two or three days via Singapore and the pirate infested straight of Mallaca.
  4. Guess it's more a mentally triggered discomfort after hearing demands for his extradition.
  5. Rock solid. Super rich clan which operates bar and hotel as a waste of time. Another fix point is the Sailor Bar in Soi 8. Sometimes it was the only light in a deep dark Soi.
  6. At home depots and DIY shops they sell flexible pipes with such rubber seals. Dirt cheap. We have three of those and keeps dry.
  7. Of course they have a mechanical lock with a corresponding key. What should happen it the batteries run empty which are (for good reason) inside the safe?
  8. And when and where has one been stopped by customs checking for cash brought in. Can't remember a single report.
  9. As I described above. The difference is in the persons who have access or knowledge.
  10. But a number of new Indian restaurants. A big one has taken the place of former Pizza Hut at corner Soi 13/2 (Soi Post). At Mike Shopping entrance there is a new cafe/"Cocktail Lounge" on the left and a big Kebab/Turkish place to the right. Both "Pasha's". Beach rd. consists mainly of Five Star Bar for me
  11. In well managed hotels the mechanical keys are kept in a big hotel safe and accessible to management/trusted staff only. Unfortunately these electronic gadgets are often treated negligent like admin/master pin = 000000 (factory default). Or the ever same pin known down to the drunk parking assistant. Experienced that at a Pattaya hotel years ago.
  12. Indeed!! Just read about the new policy. Unvaccinated can travel but have to do test after arrival. It's a madhouse ????????
  13. No problem. It's on an official list of accredited vaccines by MOPH. And as mentioned: there might be another U-turn to rewind and get the complete chaos abolished.
  14. I am not from a country where road rage is fought with guns and every "Tom, Dick and Harry" has a gun. Your country maybe, so don't generalize and distract.
  15. Yes just over and ceasefire "officially" cancelled. Would really like to know what the Russians pay for airfare and/or package tour. Mates from Germany are kept away by high airfares and chaos on airports.
  16. Same for me. You can ignore it. The system is not connected to the border checkpoints. Report is due on day 90 from your last entry.
  17. The linked site has an Android guide. Essentially it might be enough to uninstall and reinstall the browser. (saving bookmarks before) Not sure though.
  18. Third threat about the same topic ????
  19. https://howtoremove.guide/2022325luckyday-virus/ (without guarantee)
  20. Likely or less critical a "browser hijack" (guess you use Chrome). You could try to install another browser (Brave, Firefox etc.) and try there.
  21. Fuel prices down 0.30 Baht today No question: it's not a specific AUD weakness. EUR has nosedived as not seen for a long time. Super steep dive just after opening markets after New Year.
  22. After the crime! I mean "hiding" in temples with dubious history or psychosis, petty crime or serious crime. Hiding with a history of having sex with females, drinking, drug abuse and so on.
