  1. Your post is a mystery to me. What "man" are you referring to? The deceased? Part of the "crew"? Where do you find that? "Kid hanging around"? Sorry can't get it.
  2. Those from left hand driving countries are in advantage. Close parking on the left is still a bit of an effort for me. Thais hate reverse and don't know three point turn. I am always concerned as Thais don't know what's happening. They pass you from the left and the right with no care,
  3. Welcome to the club. I did the motorcycle test in 2017 and what an outright joke that is. It's a traffic kindergarten, follow the signs, for once use indicators and the stop at the stop sign. A childish easy circling around traffic cones. Most difficult the 15 cm wide elevated concrete strip, some x meters long. Drive over without stopping/foot down. Some participants had to be reminded to wear a helmet
  4. To the point and at the same time blaming opposition parties for their lush promises.
  5. 7 months have passed and the topic starter has not been on here since Oct 22. So be surprised if an answer comes. Situation is unchanged, it's a 777-300ER and 46D is an ordinary economy seat due to SeatGuru. https://www.seatguru.com/airlines/Thai_Airways/Thai_Airways_Boeing_777-300ER.php
  6. No about? Driver license? For me it simply sounds like a ridiculous requirement. Not all mankind has a driving license.
  7. About a year ago just by chance I chatted to an agent in Pattaya about one year extension (asking for a friend, really!). He told me they would go to Bangkok Bank and open an account despite another account exist or not. Other bank "difficult".
  8. Thanks for that. Another reason to keep my accounts at three banks and distribute the money. Today I sat at >SCB< and saw the clerk take a picture of a Thai customer with a tablet. As we are so much offtopic now, one more: recently my SCB app refused to work and tell me to switch off the "Developer Mode" at my Android An absolute first timer. Now wonder whether this is related.
  9. On the other hand there is no visible damage to the jetski? And no other jetski depicted and mentioned the whereabouts. And another story indeed says driver did a sharp curve and thrown off/flipped.
  10. Seven year old child on the jetski. Adult no live vest and likely a non swimmer. What more idiocy does it need? And the unscrupulous jet ski Mafiosi rent to everyone. Completely analog to renting (big) bikes with no questions asked. And that will not change as they won't be held responsible.
  11. Deaths from two to five. 150% increase sounds much better. That's worth an alarming headline. They must suffer from withdrawal symptoms and fighting to look important and frighten people. I will go out for shopping later and a bank visit and already terrified to see the army of the masked.
  12. Yes but not a proper efficient solution for a condo/apartment.
  13. Landlord is taking you for a ride. Do you think the other millions of users buy the wrong one. Buy a quality split inverter AC from Daikin or Mitsubishi and you will hardly hear that it is on. The last time that I experienced the monstrous window shakers was in a cheap hotel in New York in the late 80s.
  14. Was afraid so. I will carefully try to move wife/daughter. Headache ????
  15. Type is 2125 Business?
  16. Another knee shot. Our meter was previously connected to an abandoned shop house and has just been swapped "without bureaucracy". So I didn't see a discount and was too lazy to cart my Thais to the PEA office to bring things in order.
  17. All time record. I should add that part of the peak is due to the fact that the granddaughter is here for a whole month. She wastes a lot of power and water. So we are four in a two storey house. Upper floor is an oven. Never had so much AC running in 11 years. There is no unexpected rise per unit. Compared to previous months we have overshot the highest scale of 400 units (704 units used). I hope this will settle???? 4291.60 Baht for 704 units. That's 6.1 Baht/unit.
  18. We just had the first storm and very little rain. And the weather radar shows that things are developing. Every cool-down and rain is welcome.
  19. But nothing tomorrow April 23.
  20. Yes but again not what the OP is about.
  21. And study the ever recurring alarm from users who have "not used AC more than last month" and wonder about the hefty bill rise. So you will see that such basic advice is necessary.
  22. If there is an election tomorrow (which I don't know about?) then yes, all closed from 6 PM today (Saturday) to 6 PM tomorrow (Sunday). Nationwide elections are on Sunday, May 14th. Saturday 13th at 6 PM shutters down. Maybe a local can comment on elections in Chiang Mai tomorrow? Wouldn't be a smart schedule.
  23. Congrats for your robust health. Poor neighbors do similar and catch a proper cold/sniffles.
  24. Yes but unfortunately some Thai people seem to have no idea that an LED light might consume 10 W while an aircon consumes a 1000 W or more.
