  1. Not so easy with all the vehicles without sign plate, no sign on front, rider with helmet and dark visor. Bikers know very well how difficult they are to catch by video.
  2. Of course lost in translation. With that blurry picture I can't read the Thai text. I assume it's all kind of e-scooters/unicycles/segways whatever annoys pedestrians.
  3. "Being locked" could mean that they (whom you contact) do not have authority to change. I am afraid there is no other way than finding a higher authority. Where do you live? Just read post above: could be the "boss". They hate that but there is probably no way around? Thai speaker would be helpful.
  4. Damn click-baiting I thought all thoughts about financials are over now. Rich in 10 days. But no.
  5. Wait for more expertise, but: from an older thread (2017) absolutely NOT over the counter. It's in the category of highly controlled drugs. Not even at every "next corner" clinic/doctor. Thread from 2017. But I doubt it has relaxed. https://aseannow.com/topic/1005797-where-can-i-get-ritalin/
  6. Quick only and nothing new to me except the vaccination check. Yesterday arrived at Suvarnabhumi by taxi. Very early almost 2 hours ahead of departure (at 11:20). Walked in through gate 2 and to row B for checkin at Thaismile Air. Well staffed with 8 counters as far as I remember. No long queues. Less than 2 minutes to the desk. Put passport on desk, opened my MorProm site on the mobile phone. She was interested in the detailed "Vaccine Covid-19 Certificate" with all the details. It contains my name in Latin and Thai script and the 13 digit ID from the "pink card" (no passport number). The Latin script misses a letter in the middle name but not question. Also not interested in pink card. She obviously entered details from the certificate to the terminal. After another 2 minutes had the boarding card. (killing time with strolling the airport, still so quiet (I have seen worse but still), even the 7/11 at the ground floor vanished) Another ID check at the entrance to the domestic area. I think there were 3 more ID checks (passport) before finally entering the plane. 40 min flight, no service/food/drink (as usual in these times) and handed over a meager snack bag at exit. Mask on at all times (as usual). De-boarding 3 rows at a time after being called. Khon Kaen partially completed new airport. After the long walk to baggage claim the carousel was already full. 2 minutes and then again show passport before exit. Passport was scanned/photographed. Thai IDs similar (reading chip?). Was it the 5th ID check? And that was it. Daughter picks me up, drive my car home. No visit from the village headman, health official or whatever.
  7. I worked thorugh some instructional videos. Basically they are all the same (timing and swab procedure). This is one from Roche is quite compact: The only difference to the cheap stuff they sell at 7/11: the liquid is in a separate capsule which you have to break open and fill to the container. I have one and will try it later today. The correct swab (poking) seems the real challenge to me
  8. As written above: vaccinated status on MorProm is all you need. And for Udon not even an alternative with tests shown.
  9. ThaiSmileAir has a diagram showing that Udon requires vaccination. No alternatives with tests accepted! Quite unique. Your good with "vaccinated" status. https://www.thaismileair.com/en/newsupdates/news_2992 You should make sure to have the MorProm App installed to show your vaccination certificate/status. Some details involved like getting a 13 digit "ID" to register your data. I don't have all details at hand. One concern: the short time between 2nd shot and flight might be a problem. Not sure about this. Vaccinated status usually requires 14 day period after last shot. U-Tapao to Udon? Guessing: not in the foreseeable future. x months if at all. I am flying to Khon Kaen tomorrow. I am curious to see how the actual checks are performed.
  10. A widely spread misinterpretation. The majority of customers at our site are private. Of course you see the resellers with there five digit purchases too. I avoid alcohol selling times. Quiet in the afternoon. They have a 10 item max/cash only checkout. You neither need to have some card nor do they sell anything before tax. I have a card from daughters (long gone) shop operation. The only difference is that I get a detailed bill instead of a slip. We buy there regularly and in every desired quantity. For many products they are cheapest and for some the only source nearby. I don't care about beer but from hearsay you can get it cheaper elsewhere. There is little left of the wholesale idea when they bundle some single items into one package.
  11. Its a published rule. So hopefully other offices follow. Khon Kaen surely does.
  12. No. If you go in person you can go until Friday at latest without a fine (7 day grace period). You could also have done up to two weeks before due date. If your office is Pattaya/Jomtien, check the situation. Now closed for a Covid case.
  13. As written: Soi Buakhao closed (some rumor of refit?). This morning went to South Pattaya rd (next to Tukcom). Also looks closed (windows blind, some stuff behind the glass door)?!!! Could hardly believe it. Kasikorn seems to axe its staff. In my home district they have cut down staff drastically. Only two clerks left. ATMs in the region down from 50 to 15. Let people queue outside (Covid hysteric). Endless wait.
  14. About 7 PM around Soi 7/8. Hell that was a stampede fleeing from the beach. Not quite following Covid rules
  15. Exactly that. I would not wish to have the volatile passport nr. on there, but please when could they improve it by adding my "real" name in latin script like on the Thai ID cards!
  16. A friend from Jomtien paid 150k(!) for supersight on ONE eye. (cataract plus multiple laser, multifocal lens? no glasses needed) The other one seems lost. You can guess where this was performed? Bangkok Hospital Pattaya. So now you have an idea of the upper limit.
  17. "17 vinyl banners". This should really do the job. And to avoid sleepers at the wheel I suggest free distribution of these little stay awake pills? Proven for "professional" drivers. Where is police at such meetings? How about 24/7 checkpoint, DUI and speed checks etc. Just fantasizing.
  18. Paid 140 for 10 at MediSafe Bangkok. Shipped to my place. Local pharmacy is 180. It's somewhat relevant as a long term treatment seems needed.
  19. Your latest day to apply without penalty for overstay is 20 December. Not a good idea to wait for the last minute. You can go as early as 30 or even 45 days before. Insurance can also be prearranged for the desired starting date of 20 December
  20. per year, age 64 Done extension with it in September. Next year I will definitely look for another solution like going through the effort of marriage extension.
  21. LMG offers something that can only be called "pro forma" with very high deduction. For those who just want to satisfy the bureaucrazy. At 64 yr old I paid 7600 Baht.
  22. Searched for AA Insurance Brokers and ended up with a German language agent in Hua Hin All done via email/postal mail.
