  1. Reminds of my one and only rail link use from Suvarnabhumi. Down the stairs at the connecting station and a good walk to the BTS. "Well thought" and coordinated between Thailand state railway and Bangkok metro... Don't know whether is has improved.
  2. German Pension office last year started a trial with "Postident" mobile phone app that basically consists of uploading passport pages and then taking a short video clip of the face (within the app). I did it successfully last year but this year I will get me a stamped form so that I can send a copy to the company pension office which is behind modern times. (this Postident just leaves an identification completed message on the screen. Quite useless. Last time for the company pension I used a bilingual form (English/Thai) from the Swiss(!) pension office and had it stamped by the subdistrict major. No fee. German pension office has bilingual forms for misc languages but of course not for Thai.
  3. And at the same time the US puts most pressure to banks worldwide to properly identify its customers.
  4. From a mate's experience the first post of Dr Jack says it all. The Thai consulate in France has to work on the application for any French citizen! No question. And of course you can use any former address or address of relatives whatever if asked. No proof requested. The problem arises only if a foreign resident of France (let's say a Swiss) wants to apply for E-visa at the consulate in France. He would have to proof his residence in France. Why would he? Maybe because he lives and works in France and can only proof income/saving in Euro/France. I know about that having lived in Germany as a foreigner and applying at the general consulate in Berlin (in person 2010). Need proof or residence.
  5. Thanks for that. Just tested out the same and will go to Bangkok Bank. Just noticed that I wrote about the 50k limit in another thread. I tested transfer >50 from Kasikorn to Bangkok Bank, no problem. I tested transfer >50 from SCB to Bangkok Bank, no problem. BUT trying to transfer >50 from Bangkok Bank to SCB ended here: Kasikorn app on the other hand showed me this on the app when selecting facial: Both SCB and Kasikorn (still) show daily limits of 200k to other banks while Bangkok Bank shows 50k (now).
  6. Played around on the Kbank app and got this interesting message: So until further notice no change at Kasikorn Bank.
  7. For the moment you can go to the SCB app and check the personal daily limits. Mine are still on default(?) at 200'000 for other banks.
  8. I couldn't resist. Just moved 51500 Baht from Kasikorn to Bangkok Bank. No problem. Then moved 51000 Baht from SCB to Bangkok Bank. No problem. Then tried to move 51000 Baht from Bangkok Bank to SCB. And BANG! Exceeds daily limit. Tried to increase daily limit (set at 50000) and got this: So off to Bangkok Bank tomorrow. New haircut first?
  9. Thread in Pattaya forum, you live in Pattaya? Is the position of the consul vacant? I read something about a consul retiring from the job. Next month I will use service of the German consul for life certificate and income statement (I am not British and not German). For a fee he might put a stamp even on a UK form?
  10. Did you ask? Up to 50k no changes announced. AND: I still haven't got any message from SCB about the necessity. But not willing to do tests and shift money around for no purpose.
  11. Did the following: PC, W10 no additional virus scanners or net nannies etc., no VPN, 3BB fiber. Opened Chrome incognito window ("pure" Chrome installation no extensions/addons). Get first link, ignore Google warning about big and can not virus scan. Downloaded. LIGHTNING fast, around 700 Mbit/s. So likely mirrored in Thailand. Oppo_R11s_CPH1719_EX_11_A.04_171109.zip 2,97 GB (3.192.668.552 Bytes) All fine. Unpacked: This "ofp" thing is a whopping 6.6 GB: 6.676.389.376 CPH1719EX_11_A.04_171109.ofp
  12. Oh come on! Krung Thep Aphiwat Central Terminal. Give that to the stupid tourists who don't know that Krung Thep is where they are ???? Bangkok Central Station would be to trivial. The late name change story with 30 million Baht for new metal letters was a brilliant corruption story. Before it was Bang Sue Grand Station. Also very cosmopolitic. Signs were already hanging.
  13. Forbidden 403 often caused by location Thailand. But after half way? Strange. A proper VPN doesn't break the bank and worth independent from this specific problem. I will try the complete download later without and with VPN.
  14. Something very wrong with your camera (white balance). https://www.google.com/search?q=british+passport+2023 (select images) Screenshot from official government passport site: https://www.gov.uk/government/organisations/hm-passport-office
  15. It's blue by official rule. Good for testing color blindness. If you Google for pictures you can easily get puzzled. Sometimes it looks a bit of blue but mostly black. Too much for most graphic cards Made in Poland BTW. 100% blue isn't it: #2e364f Hex Color Code (errors excepted)
  16. Would you tell what your typical electricity consumption is? Units per month?
  17. And 25 times 30 is 750 not 600 Gives roughly 27 months. A bit more than two years. If assumptions are realistic(?) then worth any time. Particularly as the units are 12 years old. Realistic? Maybe a bit too optimistic?
  18. Important hint as I was asked which of two Google accounts I want to use.
  19. On the PC (not AIS) the download started. I canceled of course. Just got a warning from Google that the file is too big for virusscan (3.1 GB). (I wouldn't touch any custom ROMs with a barge pole) On my Android mobile (AIS) "strange things" happen. Get here and no idea how to continue:
  20. Complete utter nonsense. No idea what EasyNet means to you. And this will be discontinued from July 14th. What the thread is about. For me EasyNet is a website to access accounts that you have with SCB. I have a savings account and multiple fixed deposits over time, currently one. All being accessible via EasyNet website or SCB app. Mastercard/ATM with the savings account. Don't tell me what I have on the desk, Think it's time to add to my list.
  21. Feel well informed. Just got this. A message for each account and I only have two active.
  22. All my accounts are traditional with bank book AND internet access. Or do I get you wrong? Next time you have a problem with laptop and banking better ask here ???? I can/could use it on PC and laptop. Using app mostly though.
  23. This wave arrived Thailand with some delay. I remember it was a plague in my last country more than 10 years ago. Bank branches mutating to insurance offices.
  24. If you refer to the "accessibility" feature then this is quite likely. The banking apps do not work if any kind of screen recording/screenshot features are on. I tried to get around by using Android screen recorder. What I get is a black screen. SCB refused to work with USB debugging on. No other app ever complained.
  25. This idiot again. I suspected it from the headline before reading the post.
