  1. Exactly that. Testing to THEIR next/fastest test server. And that might be the last time you have seen 1 Gbit/s 😊 Fastest rate in practical life I have seen was about 800 Mbit/s while downloading a Windows 10 installation package. YouTube downloads between 300 to 400 Mbit/s. Downloads from some German TV "Mediathek" about 200 Mbit/s. As a reminder: the highest quality Netflix stream requires 50 Mbit/s. When does such a package makes some sense: if a whole family/house is using it. For a single person it's indeed overkill.
  2. Which ridicules your (theoretical) expecting. I doubt you have the very latest Wifi6 both on laptop and router. So your test result is quite perfect. And it's just a test result. Tell me how you would notice a difference between 300 and 1000 Mbit/s as single private user?
  3. A mate has been in a public hospital at the district town for 12 nights. He sent me a copy of his bill (all in Thai). The bill has different sections with a headline followed by some key numbers (six in a row). "21201" is easy: "special room" aka single bed room. Under a headline meaning medical material/equipment there are numbers starting with "52" like 52013... Anyone has an idea whether this is a standardized catalog for all public hospitals and where to find?
  4. What I see is, there are AirAsia, LionAir and NokAir from DMK. Personally I would skip NokAir.
  5. Never seen 20 kg included in Eco starting price. 7 kg carry on is the norm. Where do you find that? I checked the AirAsia booking site.
  6. Oh yea!🫣 Sorry to have mixed it up. Age takes its toll. During COVID I visited both. Phuket was so relaxed at the time. Riding scooter all over. No masses at the viewpoints. Near empty beaches. Samui even more. Alone on a mile long beach.
  7. Almost never any suicide reports in German news except celebrities or the like. In the radio you sometimes hear n the traffic news: subway/metro station closed due to a medical operation.
  8. Let's assume she will have plausible answers for police.
  9. Was there during deepest Covid times and enjoyed it (just after total lock was lifted). Driving along "ghosttown" Chaweng beach road was special. But I think it will have been my last visit from all I read.
  10. But still there seems to be a Thailand version of Dermovate, Just that it almost 3 times the price (5 gr for 95). Maybe the reason why many pharmacies don't stock it.
  11. When asking about medicine from home country it's a good idea to have a picture of package or leaflet to show and ask for "or similar". Some stuff in so many names in different countries.
  12. There is a locally produced cream that claims to be exactly equivalent to Dermovate. It's called Clinoderm. Contains same substance (Clobetasol propionate): https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Clobetasol_propionate There seem to be many other brand names for this kind of cream around the world. 15 gr, 118 Baht Clinoderm in Thai script:
  13. Another example. A best of country songs (100 songs, 2:35 hours) with HD video scenes. Can be downloaded in 1080p, 2.25 GB. Takes me like 2 minutes or so. Biggest audio only download is 144 MB. Piece of cake.
  14. The example in your post: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=umkixNb1Q1k (It's Five O'Clock Somewhere) It's a music video with still picture so not a good example to practice. But with WinX Youtube Downloader the download takes about a second in an "m4a" format. (36 other formats available) HD formats (1080p) are available but do not make much sense here. If the format is not convenient there are tons of converters (to mp3 etc).
  15. Propably invest a 50+ km drive to Buriram office. Show them the pictures.
  16. Did she have to show a passport (additionally to ID card)? That's what the Thai vlogger states.
  17. And some even have a separate office: (Chatuchak office, Bangkok) If I got it right it was a 10 minute affair there.
  18. Example of 1 year issued in 2022: (from a youtube video in Thai language)
  19. That was the fact for decades. Since a few years the 3 year IDP (1968 Convention) is officially acknowledged in Thailand (took them only a few decades to get it through bureaucrazy). And I vaguely remember that the DLT should now also be able to issue a 3 year/1968 on request.
  20. You were faster. My experience too. It's not the typical provincial overland bus kept together by paint and brake line fixed with duct tape. But in the end it's humans sitting at the wheel.
  21. If it is one of the popular buses from Suvarnabhumi to Pattaya (?) such a seious accident is a rare occurrence. As often as I sat in one of these buses they never speed. Either asleep at the wheel or the truck driver does not tell the whole story,
  22. Take a skeptical look at these numbers from US health organizations. "120 need medication". Leading doctors who determine such rules are sitting on the board of directors at major pharmaceutical giants.
  23. My father after his third stroke. A guy from district town after his failed suicide attempt. I doubt you can survive long on such a condition.
  24. No need for a 90 year old to do hardcore action and still enjoy women. An nice oily massage (can be on AC hotel room), a soapy, all not necessarily exhausting. Closed door gentleman club etc. Can he go to the pool? Of course transport (flight, taxi/limousine) must not be the cheap kind. A small risk is whether airline doubts his fitness to fly?
