  1. What date did you deliver it at Thai post office? You don't have a huge pile of Christmas parcels and backlog in Australia?
  2. This troll crap is a good example to what level the forum has sunk.
  3. As written above, get an IDP from your home country. If motorcycle is ticked, all fine. Unlikely. I didn't have a motorcycle license from home country and did a new Thai license from scratch in 2017. The theory test seems to have become a bit more difficult in the meantime. "Driving test" on the office yard is a joke. Guess that in Chonburi / Pattaya getting an appointment may need patience. There are driving schools that can be helpful. (visiting driving school is voluntary here )
  4. For those who are confused: it's a phrase regularly found on Thai dating sites.
  5. Go in the week from 8 to 12. My choice Tue 9 or Wed 10. Can do extension and check about 90 day.
  6. Not a smart headline 🫣 "New" would have helped.
  7. Haven't read that this was required. Would indeed be impossible. And you still need the bank letter and today's book update.
  8. I always did bank letter a day before. Was told that only book update is needed same day. (at KK, CW has own rules). 12 month statement at Bangkok Bank seems annoying? Order days ahead. Will see next year.
  9. Yes and why not: because a provincial office like ours does not cause hours of queuing and paperwork is easy if you fulfill the requirements (may differ as some offices seem to invent own rules to harras people). I hardly need more than an hour waiting included to do extension. Out before 11 AM and plenty of time to shop and dine.
  10. Same self destructive handling of the "refugees"/"asylum seekers" in so many countries. Let them fly one way with a nice deported stamp (make sure having biometrics done).
  11. My income letter as such only states the total income in Euro and the Baht equivalent from some current rate at date of issue. But attached (like notarized documents) are the two original pension statements. And the general wording of "receiving a monthly pension".
  12. Unfortunately I can not remember the exact term of what has been done on me at Bangkok Hospital in Khon Kaen (end of July this year). But it was some specialized MRI for the prostate coming with a formalized result in the range of 1 to 5. I was 3 and cancer not too likely. Procedure was almost 2 hours and quite exhausting and a whopping 16k Baht. After that TURP was done. Fine so far.
  13. Last October in Khon Kaen I used income letter for the first time. Attached to the letter were two pension statements (in German language). I explained what it is and officer was OK with it. (I had prepared tons of copies about source and transfers also, unused) Somewhat weird that you also had to show amount of transfers etc.? I never care about these extra documents aside from TM7. As you mention they can change any other year. It's just filling personal data and signing. Done quickly at the office. Little off topic: For next extension I asked at KK about the 12 monthly transfer method. It's available for ALL nationals whether or not they can get an income letter. Besides the known requirements (bank book, bank letter, 12 month statement) I should also show some proof of income source (similar as for income statement).
  14. You are hacked one way or the other. Most likely your WiFi. Follow hints above regarding password change. You don't want a SWAT team break in without ringing the bell. Unfortunately some internet providers have a very low level of security for accessing router as admin. Setting that up is a bit more complicated.
  15. No. The driver/conductor will tell you that AC can not be regulated even at 21 C outside. That's why I avoid coaches/vans as good as possible. Only short trips less than 2 hours or so. Comfy taxis sitting on the back seat I can control the airflow.
  16. But here she might have to pay 10 Baht to turn it off. My problem too. Cold icy winds fearing for my health. They only stare at you when asking to turn it down. A reason why I am not enthusiastic riding in a coach bus.
  17. Seen in Pattaya once or twice. These things are well known but never made a big trend compared to the Segways, Search for "UnicycleWheel" on FB and be surprised there is a specialized dealer in Bangkok. For many of the prices shown you can get two basic small 110 ccm motorbikes. Max speed 85 km/h (50 mph)!!! You must be insane to try this on public Thai roads.
  18. Are you asking for a regular/repeated transfer for cost of living? What amount(s) approx.?
  19. Today I thought how one could to escape the cold (but sunny) weather here. Phuket is not an option
  20. Return on 26th should be "normal" (9 to 11 hour ride). You must be fit to take such a trip within three days on a bus.
  21. Is that your kind of humor? It's not the US. Neither the full article nor the video show any violence. The fatty show mimicking a Thai boxer was good for a laugh. Not sure what Thai people felt when watching on TV.
  22. What I find confusing: nowhere can I find a clear statement that the volume (GB) is a MONTHLY limit. Did you find? Of course it would be a joke to pay 1399 Baht for 200 GB per year. But why can't they use clear wording? Still uncertain BUT it seems like the volume initially bought is indeed the total volume and if its used up you have to refill a package? If so, no thanks.
