Australia kicks off weeks-long same-sex marriage ballot

SYDNEY (Reuters) - Australia on Tuesday launched a postal vote on whether to legalise same-sex marriage as a widely watched poll indicated the country would be overwhelmingly in support.

Alleged drug boss arrested

BANGKOK: -- Police have seized 100,000 methamphetamine pills from an alleged drug boss.
 

Metropolitan Police Bureau Commissioner Lt-General Sanit Mahathavorn told a press conference on Tuesday that the seizure of the meth pills and 23 grams of marijuana as well as Bt800,000 made the case against Kessaya Thepmorya, 30, stronger.

Thai tourists warned of Dutch ban on Ya Hom powder

Anupong vows to scrap approval of land use and punish responsible officials

BANGKOK: -- Interior Minister Anupong Paochinda assured on Tuesday  (Sept 12) he was ready to scrap a ministry’s order allowing a private company to utilise a community forest for the production of drinking water, and non-alcoholic drinks in Khon Kaen province if there is even one villager protesting  the project.

17 year old using BB gun to rob locals and tourists

 

The 17 years old confessed that he had robbed people in Phuket town and Kathu area 4-5 times after taking Alprazolam (Xanax).

PHUKET: -- Last night (September 11), Phuket police arrested a 17 year old from Had Yai, Songkhla, in Soi Hongyok-Utit, Phuket Town. He’d already committed 4 or 5 robberies and claimed that he robbed people after taking drugs.

Air Berlin cancels flights as pilots call in sick

U.N. says 370,000 flee Myanmar, exodus continuing
