I'm 65 and live 10 years in Thailand and I think it's not hard to find a serious woman, just do not attend bars and massages that are not serious and you can find a woman anywhere, supermarket on the street, at the park, just smile and be kind to them and see what happens
I've been doing so and now I live for 8 years with a former Bangkok hospital nurse she is very young and also cute and affectionate, she has left her job to live with me and I am not a wealthy man and she never has me asked for money .... maybe I got lucky? in Thailand the majority of women are serious, just look and find the right one .. avoid Bar with Lady or similar places

This doesn't make sense.

What woman will leave her job to live with someone, so she can be broke? How does she make her money? What does she eat?

Believe me you can't find serious girls in bars and disco. Try universities, schools, hospitals, banks etc. The age you looking for is a advisable if you want long time relation.

Thailand must have some old schoolgirls and university students then

Are you saying a girl working in a bar is somehow not "normal"? But a girl working in a restaurant is "normal".

What exactly is "normal".

To me it means being sane, rational, in charge of your thoughts and deeds.

So to me a girl / woman working in a bar is as normal as a girl/woman working behind a check out in Tesco.

Now if you said a bar worker is more libale to end up in bed with a customer then yes nature of the job ifs that what they want of course.

Now  what would you  call a  50 + yr old man  who regularly takes a 20 yr old girl to bed a  "normal" in the West i doubt it. Would you call him the same here in Thailand!

I have no issues with bar girls, massage girls. But regarding the Op's question of where to meet a girl for a relationship / longer term girlfriend i suggested a date site.

cheating and scamming is simply the "norm" in society and yes there are exceptions and exceptional people that can hail from the lower class, middle or upper. on dating sites the vast majority are seeking a relationship that goes along with support, period. Yes there are some exceptions.  i too have seen how some alleged hi-so thais poorly treat staff and/or others. sometimes it is because they may have money but dont have class or manners.

i know a thai that is dean at a bkk university that literally brought one of the janitorial ladies into her office and along with other professors collectively embraced her and said a prayer for her in addition to guidance. this brought tears to my eyes seeing the loveliness and compassion and empathy. the dean can be seen as true hi-so having done a phd in usa and apparently a very comfortable family situation.

There was a gal like that around in Patpong in the eighties who featured in a book called from memory, "Hello my Big Big Honey". She had about five Brits on the go at once and was very adept at scheduling them so that there was no overlap.

if i may add-elaborate a bit. a few years ago i knew a go go dancer that had multiple sponsors sending money. she'd come to my condo to hang out without soliciting any money. just seemed we had some chemistry and her being sponsored made her financially independent. at time she had to receive phone calls and i had to shut up and stop whatever i was doing (lol)

 

came a day she appeared and asked me to help her select which sponsor to marry. she showed me pics of their houses and cars because she thought i'd have a better idea of which sponsor had a higher collective net worth. none had mercedes as she would have recognized it as thais do, there were corvettes, and older porsches among other non sports cars.

 

the concept of who she loved or liked the most was not in the equation.

 

imo some of the bar waitresses have a lot more in their brains than the bar- go go girls who imo usually wouldn't be trusted enough to work as waitress or at 7 11.

theres also a recently famous thai gal of thai social media that instructs other girls on how to be a mia noi for multiple thai men and do it in a way so none of them find out she has multiple husbands. she does not show her face or give identity because of the risk of being murdered. she claims she has many millions of baht in the bank saved.
