If she was only a drug user she gets all the sympathy from me there is. However if she was selling it that sympathy is a lot less. I am quite pro drugs and feel that users should not be convicted for usage. If your dealing its an other story then your in it for the profit and should accept the risks. The amounts found with her if hers are too high for personal use, could be that just her bf was the dealer if so I hope she gets a good deal. The whole idea of punishing drug users is a bit crazy.. but I come from a liberal country drugs wise and have used my fair share in the past too.

Posts line this confuse me.

In the quote above you sound so intelligent and reasonable with your arguments, probably the result of a solid education from a democratic European country. On the other hand you support the removal of Thai democracy by force, removal of personal rights and aspirations for Thai people plus most of the BS that followed from the Junta.

Do you believe that the Thai people deserve less than their European counterparts? Do you just want to maintain a comfortable life for yourself here? Or are you bi-polar? I really don't get it.

Personally I think you want to maintain the status quo so you can keep your comfortable life here, cheap maids, cheap food, cheap everything. But you're backing the wrong horse and it's about time you admit it.

Where does Robblok say he supports the removal of Thai democracy by force?  or any of the other things you talk about?

I don't like to make this topic political but you clearly did so. I just think all in charge here are crooks and at the time I wanted to see the corruption of the YL goverment punished.. and it has been. I don't believe that voting someone out is punishment I believe that the courts should meter out punishment against corruption. They have now, why... because the PTP could not interfere.

I don't support all the junta does, i just thought of them as the lesser evil than the PTP. Don't forget it was Thaksins drug war that killed 3000 people. I have come out against the junta in numerous topics.  But I have come out against the Shins in numerous topics too. Is it that hard to understand that I just saw them as a lesser evil far from perfect and that there are many things they do I don't agree with. I don't need to admit anything as I am pro elections I just want a goverment in power that is kept in checked by rules the way it should be in a normal democracy. Not one that can run a rice program.. say there is no corruption... say it does not cost a thing while there were fake G2G deals costing the goverment billions, that there was rice coming from other countries put in the program and that the bigger rice farmers and millers made the most money not the smaller farmers. Then claiming no corruption and doing a BS investigation. Only when the junta came to power was a good investigation possible and all the dirt surfaced. I don't call that a democracy.

Just like I don't call the junta democratic, its just a fact of life here that the ones who are in power (no matter what color) can do as they please put their people in places of power to stop and stall investigations. Then only with a goverment change some justice is done and some crooks are punished. So now I want an other goverment change to dig in the junta's dirty laundry, and after that an other goverment change again.. to dig in the dirty laundry of whoever was in power then.

Als long as there is no good justice system in Thailand and politicians and army have too much power this is in my opinion the only way to assure some people get punished at times. Otherwise HISO's (yes the Shins are HISO too) never get punished.

I am not living from cheap food or cheap maids, I buy the imported products that are far from cheap and do my own cooking. My meals are far more expensive then those of most as I need it to stay in good shape. So what your thinking is B.S, I gladly pay more for quality. I just don't believe in raising wages without raising productivity or quality. We seen how the last wage raise worked out it led to inflation on all fronts and no real improvement of services. If they raise the wages here too much people will be forced to be more productive.. no more 10 people in a home pro doing nothing but watching shoppers. You would end up with a high unemployment. The only way to raise wages is to raise productivity and quality.

Just think about it for a moment if we raise the wages of everyone .. all prices will raise too and the net improvement will be zero.. that is what happened last time.

Your right about one thing, I am intelligent and reasonable in most of my views. You should look outside the political topics and see what i post.

Again you made this political and I wanted this not to be political because the topic drugs interests me as I don't agree with the general views on drugs of most. I have seen how in the Netherlands we don't have addicts everywhere but have a free system about most drugs. The police wont even process me for having some had drugs (they will confiscate them) or care if I am high (as long as I dont operate a vehicle or cause trouble. I feel that drugs are far less harmful them people make them out to be. Just look how alcohol is tolerated by most and only causes problems in a few (alcoholics and people who get aggressive). Not everyone who drinks alcohol will become an alcoholic and not everyone who uses drugs will become an addict. So why reign in the freedom of many to use because a few can't handle it... its a delicate process to balance that. I feel its better to go after those who can't handle their drugs and punish those then to blanket ban it all and take the freedom away from all.

But i do understand the problems with my opinion as the state has to protect those who can't protect themselves... but they did not do so with alcoholics so why bother with other drugs. Again... there is a downside.. because those alcoholics and addicts often damage others how much is the value of that compared to the right of others use. Its a difficult choice.

I have supported parts of the junta as i like the Shins to be punished for their corruption. But at the same time have I gone against many of the junta's ideas like subs and other stuff like the corruption of Prayut his brother and nephew.. the crazy extra internet security.  The increased army spending I don't agree with.. them holding to power.. I don't agree with. Them going after corruption I agree with (but its hypocritical too as they don't go after their own corruption)

I had expected far more of them when they came to power, they have largely dissapointed me but they have done good things too.

She will be held responsible for dealing. The same as her boyfriend.

Hopefully she gets sick and scared and is miserable enough to learn a life time lesson.

Good call making her sit in prison while the fuz collect the envelope. It just might be money well spent.

Become involved with losers and they will take you down to their levels. That`s exactly what this woman did, this women who had everything going for her but it wasn`t enough.  She has no one else to blame but herself. Everyone should know, especially Thais, that Thailand has a no tolerance policy towards illegal drugs. Whether some people believe these laws are too harsh or not, that`s the way it is. In several S.E. Asian countries she would has received a death penalty.

What about the lives of the people that get destroyed when they get addicted to the drugs that her loser boyfriend sells?

Drugs are a fun way to pass the time. And taxi drives use them to work over time. Its a win win situation.

"Scared"? "Life lesson"?

She's not a child.

Would you say the same thing about a 28 year old male arrested with ice and selling materials, who admitted intent to sell?

Would you even say the same thing about a fat, unattractive female?

Don't be so quick to hand out the p***y-pass.

In the women's prison the guards are female.

it only took me a few days or a week, seemed like an eternity, in thonglor police station around 20 years ago to learn that doing drugs is a no here. to a certain extent i suppose i owe them one. i also called mummy for the small time the police allowed me to use the phone. mummy said you got yourself into it now get yourself out. i said mum, i don't think you realise how bad it is in here to which she replied, how did you get there . . . lesson learnt

A question for you worldly guys out there. Why is it that so many of these types of women who it could be said have anything going for them; looks, talent, great career opportunities, fall for these thugish, deadbeat no hoper loser guys?

Is it some kind of animal magnetism? Is it because they are attracted to brutes that treat them like crap? I sure don`t understand it.

My daughter went through the bad boy phase

My daughter a model and beauty queen went through the bad boy stage many yeas ago.  It is very common.  In her case she was rebelling against her mother's involvement/interference in her life.  Part of the twisted "leaving the nest thing."  A lot of them have to go through it.  Can be very dangerous.
