Didn't you get the memo, OTT spending on luxury traveling is off the agenda after Yingluk's VIP World Tour. and try to remember the first GT200 units were bought in 2004.

So last week in London did not happen, but it did and one big party from what I hear.

GT200's now who was the general who said they worked and the men using them where either not trained properly or where too tired to use them. This was just after the UK Government put the con artist in jail for 10 years who sold them as they where fakes, pray tell who was that man?

I bet that any foreigner who lives in Thailand could point out between

5 - 20 corrupt officials. Just ask the foreigners if they are serious.

They could even give us jobs rooting out the corrupt officials. No Thai would do that 555.

But but those traveling by her don't include close companions that have nothing to do with the nature of the trip.

59 units of GT 200 was first bought during Surayud tenure. The bulk of 500+ bought during Ahbisit. Porky pies again.

The trip? Yingluk visited 42 countries, with a full retinue, just about a full time job on it's own, which explains her rare appearances in parliament.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Yingluck_Shinawatra#List_of_countries_officially_visited

".... some 818 GT200 units were procured by Thai public bodies since 2004."

".... the Royal Thai Air Force first procured the GT200 to detect explosives and drugs at airports, followed by the army in 2006."

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/GT200

" Thai Prime Minister Abhisit Vejjajiva ordered scientific tests of the GT200 in February 2010 to verify its claimed effectiveness. The tests found that the GT200's detection rate was no more effective than random chance "

Corruption will never ever be wiped out here.

After trying to get building permission for 9 months, we have just upped our offer to 100K baht for a speedy approval. Even the constructor admitted that without paying under the table no construction work would ever get done.

You're getting played like a banjo at a red-neck ho-down.

And still he will not admit his corrupt hero said they worked when the UK MOD and courts said they did not, nor ever would, so who pocketed the cash that was over paid by Thai tax payers i wonder, The corrupt ones who ordered them I expect The Hero Man.

Again there is a due process missing.  They were not charged because nobody, as of yet, charged Yingluck with committing a crime.  Driving a person to the border is not a crime unless she is wanted for arrest.  Why not focus on due process instead of corruption first ?  The beloved prime minister seems to control the law with a mere gesture of his hand.  It looks as though he can have anyone arrested anytime he desires.

The PM is the law unto himself, of course he can have anyone arrested anytime he desires if he felt there is any threat.

Even in Singapore you could be arrested if you say something that they don't like, you cannot speak your mind to put in simple words. How many journalists have been boot out of the country after a brief span of time in detention. Well, they say Singapore is a democratic country. If you have a toothache while in Singapore before you see the dentist you had better ask the government if you are allowed to open your mouth.

Some are born kings, some made themselves kings. They behave like kings but are too shy to say they are kings. Suharto was once king of Indonesia, Marcos was once king of Philippines, the list goes on and on........
