Purchasing digital books with Android smartphone

Featured Replies

What is the cheapest site for purchasing digital books with my Android smartphone.
I have bought books on Google books, but just took a look at Amazon, and found them a little cheaper. Are there any others possibly cheaper?
What about free digital books:Tried several apps , but their free books were more or less limited to old classics or more recent books that are junk.

Pm if you are interested, have over 100gb ( upwards of 150k books) of mobi. Epub, PDF and kindle books of all varieties in all genres. I have found eReader prestige to be the best app for such in the playstore and negates the need for you having a kindle, as well as reading all ebooks regardless of format. Cheers.

mobilism.me : links to hundreds of free books, but lots of ads (you have to figure out how to evade them). Pay $25 for Premium Membership (well worth it), and you get direct links (instantaneous downloads) and no ads.

I get ebooks from my library network using a program called overdrive.

This site has a vast selection.I tried it,,downloaded a book, but then, unfortunately, my phone said can't open file and the file disappeared.

Probably because I am a complete klutz when it comes to technical matters.

I’ve had good luck torrenting using the Pirate Bay.

Some files are downloaded as epub files, which is a format similar to pdf.

I had to download an app that could open them from google play.  Sorry, I should have mentioned that.

If you go to your app store and search 'epub reader' it will have a lot of free apps you can use to open them.

If you're having any problem setting it up let me know and I'll walk you through it.

I gave it another shot and this time it worked for some reason without downloading another app, something that happens to me all the time when my stupid self has to deal with smart technology.

Anyway thanks for this great link, which is gonna save me a lot of money.
