you need to do some research, its not as easy as you seem to think.

 

find a job, they will sort out all the paperwork for the work permit.

 

you will then need to sort out a visa that allows you to work.

I have never heard of a requirement for you to be working in order to legitimize your parenthood.

Perhaps you should look at this topic.

You have to be working for a registered company or partnership to get a work permit.

You can get a single entry non-o visa and 60 day extensions to visit your child without being the legal father of your child.
