Honda PCX carrier, Pattaya

Featured Replies

Does anyone know where I can get a carrier - the rack that a top box fits on - for a new PCX, in Pattaya?

I've tried Mityon and half a dozen small bike shops, no have. Some could sell me one WITH a top box, but I don't want/need that.

Thanks

Usually the carrier and the top box are sold seperately or not? At least that's what i always thought. Maybe the shops tried to sell you both to make more profilt, but if you insist on just the carrier they would probably still sell it to you.

Here you could order one online:

I bought the Rally new at Mityon, they had no idea about the base plate.

I bought the versys second hand again they had no idea, in fact told be to find one and they would fit it! I saw the manager and got it sorted.

Turns out that, for the PCX, you have to remove part of the "duck tail", which would look bad and let water in.  I'll stick to a rucksack.

Thanks all.

Please explain, i have had a base plate fitted for years now, not issues at all. No removing of anything and no water leaking.

On the current model, the tail is just a bit of plastic, which wouldn't hold a carrier. The central section is removable, giving access to bolt holes on the frame, which would - and are there for that reason. However, that section wouldn't go back on with a carrier fitted.

Not my photo.

According to the mechanic I spoke to, that's the only option. If there's another way, I'd be grateful to hear it.

Here.......owned by Mityon, on 3rd road on the right heading north past Pattaya Klang....

Per the link:  "... At the event, food and drinks were served, games were played, rewards were given, and there was a show from models washing bikes. ..."

Sounds like the RTP were there for the opening.  :)

I did not know the design had changed. But looking at the photo it looks as if if you want the cover to remain you need to drill through it and seal with a rubber washer. It seems strange to have this design default.

I would ignore what the mechanic told you and ask around, every shop will tell you something different, even if Mityon owned.

Try this shop if in Pattaya..... https://www.facebook.com/motoplus88/
