Old Thaksin cases could be revived retroactively, says Deputy PM

Deputy Prime Minister Wissanu Krea-ngam reiterated on Monday that he believes that the legal procedures against political office holders in criminal cases law could be applied retroactively against alleged wrongdoers, opening up the possibility that this could be applied to the outstanding cases against former PM Thaksin Shinawatra.

‘No more dumping in my klong,’ says Chalong Mayor

PHUKET:-- Chalong Mayor Samran Jindapol has urged local residents to stop dumping garbage in the small estuaries that feed into the well-known Klong Mudong canal on Phuket’s east coast, fouling the water and blocking the streams from emptying into Chalong Bay.

River residents warned of impending flooding

Scaffolding is being removed from the Royal Crematorium, which is almost finished. The Royal Cremation Ceremonies for HM the late King Bhumibol Adulyadej will run from October 25 to 29.

 

PEOPLE who wish to witness first-hand the grand processions in honour of HM the late King Bhumibol Adulyadej on the day of his Royal Cremation will probably have to move into designated areas at least one day in advance.
