Before any law establishment releases a statement stating suicide over here they should be doing more research, or does that mean they have to put in a shift

You didn't read the whole story did you? Don't be so lazy and prejudiced.

Police are very quick, in most cases to come up with the verdict of

suicide, there were 4 letters found but they don't say if they were

suicide letters, RIP fellow countryman, your at peace now.

regards Worgeordie

He probably wanted to get his Xmas cards out before killing himself and the police thought it was important enough to mention it.

You spoke for yourself. Suicide is a courageous way out . It solves all your problems .

And the one that say 39 is too young , BS , teens take their own life too.

Duh? The poster DID NOT say that 39 is too young , excluding teenagers. He possibly felt that there was an opportunity for the deceased because of his 'young' age to be able to deal with and overcoming his problem/s, with help, given the time?

Yes, it solves all your problems without you having to deal with them. Where is the courageous in leaving your problems behind, not dealing with the difficulties of life and not have any feeling about how you might hurt the ones standing close to you? Just called you by going all in, didn´t I?

Its a developing country and a long forensics case costs a lot of money!

nd seAriously all these allegations about 35 kilo pip sqeeks lifting a 120 k westerner over a balcony are idiotic, the same girl pulling on a rope is beyond idiotic.

In a lot of cases the Police swiftly come to the conclusion it's suicide,

when the room is undisturbed, and nothing is missing, that's about as

far as any investigation goes.case closed.

There  was also the case when a man found hanging with his hands tied

behind his back, was judged as a suicide.

I am not saying this case was not a suicide, just that others may not be.

Yep, I know! Surly is or just a messed up relationship with Thailand and the ones close.
I know you´re going to get heat for that comment, but I agree with you with the small modification above.

I also find it very hard to see suicide as a way out. For me it´s just a cowardly way of a person not having the spine to deal with the problem.
Therefore, I will excuse myself. I can´t wish that someone is at peace. Ain´t possible, due to that the problem still exists. Not for him, but not dealt with.
I also find it very hard for somebody to rest in peace, when they likely died with unfinished business.

It can sound hard, I know. It´s just my view of life.

Another poster judging and blabbing ! Did you read the article? It said he had just returned from England to HIS WIFE!........................It states........ They had had no problems or arguments.

Let's hope for your sake you are never caught in the grips of severe depression or mental illness. How can you justify your above comments with no knowledge of the facts?

Sure glad I am not a friend of yours!

A 39-year-old British man was found hanged in a luxury property in Kathu yesterday in what police are describing as suicide.

RiP....

That's too young to be that depressed !!

I wasn't aware that depression was an older persons thing, as far as I know it affects the very very young to the very very old, but very sad at any age. RIP

Used to be a time when it was the honorable way out... funny how things change.

As I thought... the change is attributable to followers of the nailed God.

You make the classic mistake of thinking that depressed/suicidal people are capable of rational thinking !! If they were they would be unlikely to choose this way out - read up on the basics.

At 39 to young to die. One only knows why they do it. Could of been money , ladies, illness who knows. Had a neighbour in my street in his 30s hang himself but that was after he found his wife in bed with his friend  But not saying in this case that was the reason that caused him to hang himself But i agree the police are to quick here to say it is suicide An Autopsy  would be in order first dont you think?

I disagree . If more people could think rationally & logically , there would be a lot more self endings of life ( suicide is such a negative word).

The "39 is too young remark" , has been made by several posters before him. It was a rebottle of that remark.

And therein lies the problem as to why there is frequently automatic suspicion about deaths that are immediately announced as suicides, with the sideline that  'investigations continue'.

This man presumably wasn't suffering financial problems (was living in a luxury Phuket house) but it's possible he had problems/depression that drove him to suicide.  It's all speculation and it's unlikely we'll hear more about this poor man's death.

Perhaps all the conspiracy theorists could explain the 4 letters left by the deceased?  A strange thing for a murderer to do.

They were H-E-L-P

RIP young man

Too young to die, but did he want  to die?

"It said he had just returned from England to HIS WIFE!." - so????  Maybe he came back to find his "wife" in bed with her "brother."  Like that has never happened.

"They had had no problems or arguments." - says she.

Perhaps you should open your mind a little to what happens here in a lot of "relationships" and I use that term, loosely. (no pun intended)

What an awful existence you must live wirh your brain thinking like that all the time.

My brain certainly doesn't think like that all the time.  I'm happy here, and consider myself a positive thinker.  There's nothing wrong with seeing Phuket / Thailand, and certain Thai's, for what it really is, and what they really are..

There's a reason why they call this country "The world's brothel."

You can't afford to be that naive here, and I don't mean in the monetary sense.  This thread is an example of that.

Many posters seem to think the problem was all in the deceased's head.  Sure, he very well may have taken his own life, but who/what pulled the trigger?

Is it not possible his problems started when he came here, and perhaps he couldn't see it until he created his own financial ruin?

You can personally attack me, no problem to me, but do you deny Thailand has been the financial ruin of many here, with some of those people choosing suicide over repaying debt and embarrassment????

Hanging by a rope ?  Sure it wasn't a pair of socks ? That seems to be the preferred explanation for suicide by the police

Making a blind stab in the dark and after reading the report, I would say this is a suicide.

The old song comes into mind; After The Ball Is Over.

After the ball is over,
After the break of morn –
After the dancers' leaving;
After the stars are gone;
Many a heart is aching,
If you could read them all;
Many the hopes that have vanished
After the ball.

Meaning; they want to prolong the taste of the good life but circumstances dictate otherwise. It`s all very tragic and sad.
