PM pledges to make success of reform efforts, urges people to help change country for the better

Prime Minister General Prayut Chan-o-cha on Tuesday vowed to achieve success in his administration’s reform efforts, saying that the government has been relentlessly working on this crucial area although the progress made to date is still considered to be relatively minor.

 

The PM urged people to follow the work up and support the government. 

 

People should help change the country for the better, he said, adding that for its part the government would try its very best to solve all problems.

 

Reform is among the crucial work addressed since the military-led government took office in mid-2014.

 

It was first taken up by the junta-appointed National Reform Council, which developed the reform blueprint, which was further worked on by the National Reform Steering Assembly (NRSA).

 

The NRSA was recently dissolved following the promulgation of the new national reform law over a month ago. 

 

The new law created 13 reform committees working on reform in 13 crucial sectors, from politics to the environment.

 

They are obliged to submit their reform plans to the government by December, before implementation in the next five years. 

 

The panels’ reform plans must also be in line with the new national 20-year strategy.

Sorry, but the usurpers of power have never and will never captivate the hearts and minds of the people.  The bitterness and the mistrust remains and the military has not done anything in that regard. 

The PM is doing an excellent job to push forward and ensure Thailand has economic stability.

He is working hard and has always informed the public with continued updates on the Juntas progress.

 

Lets hope Khun Prayuth Chan O Cha is at the helm for years to come ....

Item 1 on the agenda today; Speed cameras and how much to say they cost if anyone dare ask.

Item 2; submarines and how to deepen the seas locally so they can submerge.

Item 3; the purchase of China's obsolete tanks and armoured cars for use on Thai people.

Step two: Ignore step one.

 

Better for whom? The so called elite? The filthy rich? The military power brokers? Big business? Foreign investors? Industrialists? Those who work for them? Middle class folk? The filthy rich? The struggling hoi  polloi? Peasant farmers? Landless peasants?

So he has been governing for more than three years with absolute power and recognises himself he hasn't achieved anything.

Christ, where do you start, with this sanctimonious outpouring of mealy-mouthed platitudes? At least the guy was 'normal' enough to wear suit, shirt and tie for once. I really do believe that, if we carry on working on him, he may see all of the light and, besides the fact that he is loathed, left, right and centre, he and his pension-pals will never possess the energy, motivation and passion that each of the above highlights requires. That he cannot see just how absurd, how laughable these outpourings are demonstrates the sort of man that he is . . . soulless, heartless, selfish and horrifyingly arrogant.
