Sex unlikely to cause cardiac arrest, study finds

Sudden cardiac arrest is associated with sexual activity far more often in men than women, research suggests.

 

But sex is a rare trigger for sudden cardiac arrest. Only 34 out of the 4,557 cardiac arrests examined occurred during or within one hour of sexual intercourse and 32 of those affected were men.

 

Sumeet Chugh, of the Cedars-Sinai Heart Institute, said his study is the first to evaluate sexual activity as a potential trigger of cardiac arrest.

Not many elderly men (over 40) having sex in the UK (not with English women anyway), so the result is hardly surprising.

The BBC should do a study about elderly white men having sex in Thailand.

Yes I agree with you "thaibeachlovers".  It would be nice to go out while you are uniting with God. If you learn some oriental mystical methods of ejaculation you could unite with God and never have to come again to this dirty world. What a way to go........it's cool.

Yes that would be an unfortunate way to go out, as I almost did in 2008, aged 47, Thai bride was 26.

 

It was two months into being married to this absolute bombshell, and it was the 4th and almost last time on that day at around midnight that I put away that last goal, mind you, I am not one to try and score more than once in any given day, must have been that school uniform that I ordered from Alibaba that made me play again, and again, and again.

 

Me later taking the Cardiologists advice, not to over exert myself while he glanced over at my wife, also stating that he appreciated the fact that I did score the last goal and be still alive to tell the story.

 

I said to to him, yes I am now retiring as a forward and will become goal keeper, because moving the goal post about 6 times when I was trying to score that final goal on that day, was very very cruel.
