Fully-loaded moving truck destroyed by fire

SATTAHIP:-- A million baht in furniture went up in flames when a six-wheeled moving truck caught fire in Sattahip.

Firefighters needed nearly a half-hour to put out the fire that began under the hood of the Samut Sakhon-registered Hino freight truck and spread to the cargo bed.

No one was injured, but all the furniture on board was completely destroyed. The fire also backed up Sukhumvit Road traffic in front of Najomtien Temple for more than an hour.

Driver Supamit Panlangsub, 29, said he and three coworkers were delivering household goods to customers in Pattaya and Sattahip. After making the first stop, smoke began pouring out from under the hood. He parked and all the movers got out and watched the blaze destroy their vehicle.
