Looks tops for a retro bike and out in December.

Priced at 83,000bt and 86,000bt for the SE.

Might be another bike arriving in my garage soon.

Does look nice....might even be tempted myself.  Goodbye to the wave  time.

Don't suppose Stallions will be too happy about it though.

As pbas400 said.....the  250 seems way overpriced. Not worth the extra 75 cc.

Yes, that is a crazy price for this bike. I don't think they will sell very many at B220K.

Agree it looks good, but what does it have to warrant that price?.

The 250 has been around as the Estrella since about 1992. Looks like it's been renamed to fit into Kawasaki's 'W' retro class.

True. I saw this on Thaiscooter.com a few years back and was very tempted at 70,000 baht. Looked too good to be true.

Thanks for that...when I saw the pic's yesterday I thought something looked familiar...saw this a few years ago and did a check then because I'd never heard of Estrella

The 175 looks pretty good for those who want a cheap reliable retro bike . That's an insane jump in price from the 175 to the 250 though. Wonder what the reason is?

Pity about the black rims. Chrome would have been more retro.

What the hell is it with black rims, black plastic this-and-that on all the latest bikes?  I guess it's for stealth so you can sneak up on people and snatch purses and phones.  Wouldn't want chrome or aluminum or lighter paint to show the bike up at night.  Might distract the 10-wheel truck driver who is about to run over you.

...perhaps profit motive....

Looks very nice and perfectly priced to take away customers from Stallions.

I think you have it right there, they have seen the huge popularity of the Stallion in a market that still hates Chinese stuff. With a big 4 badge on it it should sell really well.

The "Bonnie" look has always been good, for me the frame is still too small...I am guessing...shame.

175 single seems a good size for Thailand and that flat seat is the best for a longish ride 2up..

Another one for the Stallion market.

Good find Allan. This same bike has been on sale in England for at least most of this year , as a Hanway. In England its a 125 cc bike for £ 2,299 / B 96,000 .

Jonnyf is not sure if papa is serious so Jonnyf will give him the benefit of the doubt.

Setting an unrealistic sales price does not generally increase overall profit. It reduces sales units, otherwise a Honda Wave would be 100k Baht. Jonnyf hopes papa understands this.

Hmm...don't think so. Didn't Japan and Thailand start a 0% tax agreement since end of last year?

It could be 0% on anything they agreed to, but certainly not on automotive! That is an industry which is always protected.
