I've got bone spurs in my toe, and I'm looking for a recommendation for podiatrists or orthopaedic surgeons specialising in foot surgery in Bangkok.

 

If anyone here has had a cheilectomy or big toe fusion, please tell me the doctor, cost, and if the surgery was successful.

 

For anyone wondering, a cheilectomy is a surgery to remove bone spurs (similar to a bunion) from the big toe joint caused by hallux rigidus.

You may wish to consider taking borax before opting for surgery. I'd suggest reading "The Borax Conspiracy", freely available on the internet, and then decide. I can send you food grade borax should you wish.

There is pretty much just ortho surgeon ispeacilaizing in feet Thailand, Dr. Bavornvit. Who is very, very good.

Thank you for the recommendation. I met him already and he was very helpful. He even told me I could go meet him at Siriraj, but the wait time for surgery there is around 6 months. I'll also consider Dr Tanawat (the other recommended foot and ankle specialist) in Chiangmai if the wait time is less.
