Workers in Songkhla clean areas near Mermaid statue in Samira Beach in Songkhla province on Thursday ahead of the visit of the prime minister and his Cabinet next week.

The third mobile Cabinet meeting will take place in Songkhla next week, a deputy government spokesman said on Friday.

Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha and his cabinet will fly to Pattani on Monday to meet people and to be briefed about the progress of various projects.

“The premier will meet local people to learn about their problems and listen to their opinions. He will also meet with leaders of local communities as well as private sectors of the Southern region,” Colonel Apisit Chaiyanuwat said.

During his visit to Pattani, Prayut will chair the opening ceremony of a central livestock before visiting agricultural sites.

The premier and his Cabinet will then travel to Songkhla to attend a working dinner on Tuesday concerning the development of the economy and societies in the southern provinces.

Before the mobile cabinet meeting on Tuesday, the premier will pay his respects to the statue of Krom Luang Chumphon Ketudomsak before meeting students and visiting an exhibition at Rajamangala University of Technology Srivijaya, Songkhla.
