Then you have at least weakened if not neutralized your conclusion that Iranian people are not terrible versus the Iranian government because (you say) the people lack sufficient information to behave otherwise. Externally no one would have any basis for conclusion other than what Iranians are seen to express.

Furthermore, there is no certain converse - that with unfiltered access to information the Iranian people's views would necessarily be different than that of their government. In the last Iranian presidential elections 57% of voters chose moderate reformist and Iranian architect of the nuclear deal current President Hassan Rouhani over hardliner conservative former President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad.

Thus, Iranian people do seem politically savy even without all the information freedoms found in Western nations.

Hassan Rouhani is just as much a hardliner as  the Ahmaddinejad. The difference though is that he does consider himself to have a holy mission as the former leader  maintains. He is described as reformist and open minded by  western groups who need someone to fit that niche, because a recognition that  there is a fanatic running minding the store doesn't meet their political needs.  The truth is too difficult for people to accept that the world is populated by some very nasty people with nasty violent views.

I remind you that your beacon of friendship is in reality.

- A cleric who follows the samy strict doctrine of the  other Iranian mullahs

- Was a loyal follower and supporter of Ayatollah Khomeini and had followed him into exile.

-Was an active  member of past administrations including serving in military command roles in the 1980's. His military career culminated  in his becoming Deputy Commander of Iran's Armed Forces in 1988. You may not recall that 1987 and 1988 saw Iran attacking  oil tankers in the gulf leaving a terrible toll of  environmental damage. Read up on  Operation Earnest Will that saw the USN forced to protect the European and Asian oil tankers to prevent a world economic meltdown. The Iranians were also attacking neutral non combatant merchant ships and targeting oil platforms. Genius strategy form a genius group peaceful clerics running the Iranian military, right?

Iran and North Korea are two of the most diabolical nations on earth and should have been pacified long ago. They are not salvageable. Making threats at the EU speaks volumes about the country.

Voter turnout means nothing. Didn't they have over 90% in North Korea?  LOL

Are you claiming that the figures aren't accurate? Or are you claiming that Iran forced its citizens to vote? Do you have any evidence at all for that?

Calling something trolling doesn't make it so. I'm simply asking you to explain an unsupported assertion of yours. Here is is again:

"Voter turnout means nothing. Didn't they have over 90% in North Korea?  LOL"

But I do think that unqualifiedly citing North Korea in a thread about Iran would qualify as trolling.
