Pacho Waterfall

The Budo Sungai Padi National Park on Monday closed the popular Pacho Waterfall to tourists after days of heavy rain caused a large runoff.

Sitthichai Madsi, chief of the park, closed the entire area around the waterfall for the sake of safety.

The southern border province has experienced torrential rain for four days. On Monday, rain clouds were still covering the province.

Runoff from the Budo Sungai Padi Mountains began flowing into the waterfall and the creek on Monday morning, and park officials were ordered to be on standby.

The area will be closed until the situation improves, the park chief said.
