Who may organise a trip to islands near Pattaya by a private jetski?

Featured Replies

I am looking for an owner of a private jetski who might organise a trip to islands near Pattaya (Koh Rin, Koh Manwichai, Koh Phai, …). I am ready to pay reasonable money for this trip.

I will be only one passenger.

Would it be safe to go so far offshore on a jetski? Personally I would get on one even if it was completely out of water on the beach, but that's just me.

I am sure that there would be operators who would accomodate you; on the basis that they drive and you are a passenger. I would try asking between sois 5 and 1 on Beach Road. As in anything, shop around and get 2 or 3 quotations. Good luck and enjoy your trip.

It is not safe 'cos jetski engine may get some problem but cellular phone working quote far offshore to call rescue team. My cellular was working during my trip to Ko Larn by boat or ferry. But it is good to have mobile VHF radio additionally to make emergency call. It would be good if a jetski owner had some experience riding so far offshore. I guess he have to possess licence to ride private small watercraft. I have gotten an idea to buy my own jetski and keep it in Pattaya marina but I would like to get some info from owner of the same vehicle first and to have a trip with him to nearby islands.

I found one operator who offer jet ski tour with guide but it cost 15000 baht for about 3 moto-hours. I hope to find some private jetski owner who might offer lower price. Also I would check address you gave me for some additional operator.

I meant that you should speak to some of the jetski operators on the beach between sois 1 and 5. They all seem to be reasonably honest. 15000 seems a very high price for 3 hours.

All internet warns that jetski operators are scammers on the Beach Road. Or that operators on the beach between soi 1-5 are exceptional?

I don't believe jetski scamming is a problem nowadays. In over 10 years I have not seen people scammed between sois 1 and 5. If you are only the passenger it won't be an issue anyway.
