NACC asked to investigate Gen Prawit’s wristwatch collections

Thai Constitution Protection Association secretary-general Srisuwan Janya on Friday (Dec 15) petitioned the National Anti-Corruption Commission to investigate Deputy Prime Minister Prawit Wongsuwon’s wristwatch collection.

In the petition, Mr Srisuwan submitted as evidence a number of photos circulated on social media showing the deputy prime minister wearing different brands of wristwatch, including the one that believed to be a 4-million-baht  Richard Mille model RM30 which he said was different from the one worn by the deputy prime minister in a group photo session of Cabinet ministers at the Government House on Dec 4.

Noting that the photos have provided an important piece of information to be probed by the NACC, he said he would like the anti-graft body to find out exactly how many expensive wristwatches which are owned by Gen Prawit and whether he has declared them with the NACC or not.

I just can’t wait for his answer on the first watch that came into question. Can’t believe it’s taking so long to come up with an excuse. Whatever it is it will be pure comedy gold. Maybe Prawit and his team are in talks with the watch companies for him to be the new face of their brand (Thailand only).

Maybe he will take the GaGa defense and claim he is just honoring those wonderful Thai copycat watchmakers.

And what's up with the purple silk? Don't look like no general

I think his last excuse straightened the whole issue out. Prawit's mother inherited his best friends watch which was a practically worthless knock off. Prawit borrowed the watch just before his mother died then cleverly bartered the knock off for a genuine model. That put's his cost at just under 1,000 baht. That may not be 100% correct, but it's close enough for government work.

Maybe the NACC could take a man off Shinawatra chasing for a day or so to wrap this up.

If it takes them this long to investigate something as simple as this its hardly surprising more complex cases remain unresolved for *eternity.

*- unless the cases involve a Shinawatra or their allies.

This case just went morbid as Prawit now claimed the watch was from a deceased good buddy of him that had a great collection of expensive watches and he lent from him. Now that he is dead, he has not returned the watches. My jaw just dropped at the free flow of bull shit from this jolly face liar. Now even claiming he borrowed from the dead. Just how low can he go. :shock1: Lets see how the NACC is buying all this BS.
