The director of a well-known private school in the southern province of Trang has admitted some students have operated as a gang to extort money from fellow students in the school.

 

Wanthana Asoksakul, director of Darunothai School, said she was sorry for what had happened.

 

She said a committee was set up to investigate, and the students who formed the extortion gang have been suspended.

Another sad director! Just solve the problem, and don´t let the students who have done this in again. Suspension is not the right concept. Expel is!

Throw these clowns into a juvenile detention facility for five years. See what kind impact that has on their lives, and the lives of the families that raised these little gangsters. And suspension is not nearly enough. That is a slap on the wrist. Permanent expulsion from this school, and a black mark on their records would be the minimum a civilized society would deem appropriate for these young fools. In addition to some punishment for the school itself. To even consider the possibility that the administrators did not know what was going on, is beyond the imagination.
