I plan to take a 3-4 day vacation in early Feb to the Pranburi area.

Do any of you have any experience and recommendations for resorts etc ?

On the web they appear over priced for what they are....

i.e. 5000 bhat per night for not much more than a recently painted bungalow / hut !

I also might throw a game of golf in ? any ideas of nice courses near Pranburi ?

And.. is there any wakeboarding in the area ? Cable Ski or Boat rental ?

Idea's welcomed.

No, but I have been there a few times to have a look around that area.

Also went to the one in Phuket and Koh Samui. All are out of the way places.

Try the Sofitel in Hua Hin them, very nice there and you are in the middle of the town and a beach as well.

Happy Days. :o

evason in pranburi was nice (atleast according to my brother and his wife, who stayed there) they had a car though so was easier for them since it is quite out of the way. they do pick you up from huahin town if needed...but once at the hotel i guess given the nature of the place you just stay there and relax :o

the other place we stayed at is called Anchana...quite nice, pleasant rooms, not too big a place, and service is good. they have a website.....http://www.anchana.com/

price range was 2500+ (we got a good deal cos we took many rooms and meals as package)

its on the beach, but again is quite a way drive from the main road to get to...so you'd need a car

there is a restuarant further down the same street, food was good. and near the hotel theres a couple of small shops/minimart type places.
