VBF
I had to look this up because "BSB codes" are new to me. Apparently they are an Australian concept used to identify a particular branch of a bank. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bank_State_Branch In Britain and Ireland they're referred to as Sort Codes https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sort_code HOWEVER..... some people are asking about the 3 digit number on the back of a Credit or Debit card. This is a CSC or CVV number and is international across most card issuers and serves a different purpose as the web sites explain. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Card_security_code https://www.cvvnumber.com/ AFAIK, without that CSC or CVV number, one couldn't use the card online Edited December 20, 2017 by VBF

Crossy
I think this storm in a teacup has blown over. To prevent further confusion I'm going to close it. However, if our OP has further information when he gets / fails to get a new Visa Debit card he's welcome to PM me and I'll re-open.
