Hunt on for neighbor after woman murdered in Nakon Sri Thammarat

Police in Si Chon district of Nakonn Sri Thammarat in Thailand's south are hunting a 55 year old man after his neighbor was found stabbed to death last night.

 

Potjana Meksung, 63, was found stabbed in a palm plantation. Relatives said she had left her house nearby in the afternoon and after she failed to return home by evening they went looking for her.

 

They said that she had been involved in a long running land dispute with neighbor Prasit Chiawchan, 55, who was seen hiding bloodstained clothing and fleeing the area.

 

Weerasak Malithong of Si Chon police said an arrest warrant has been issued and they are hunting for Prasit.
