What's quite suspect is to get a large amount of money from the recipient of a high risk loan that his dad made happen for doing nothing. And then give it back quick when the <deleted> hit the fan.

10 M Baht not exactly large amount and he did pay back before he was charged. Wonder the other 150 people who also got the ill-gotten funds will be investigated by the DSI. DSI kind of procrastinate on some selective cases.

Not sure either are high on the Papparazi's list of interest. And with the trough closed to them for now maybe the lobbyists and PR teams have been scaled down.

If she is considering applying for PA in the UK or other EU country then a very low profile is a wise thing to adopt.

There again, still waters run deep. Maybe a lot going on behind the scenes for all we know.

"Maybe a lot going on behind the scenes for all we know."

Agree, I very much doubt that the whole gang both abroad and local are retired and taking care of the grandkids.

My guess is there's lots of discussions and strategy talks and activities about winning the next election by what means needed, because none of them will ever give up the possibility of returning, unethically / imorally to the trough, until they die.

Further, seems to me there's a good chance they will go for broke, break the laws, and spark another coup.

What's even more suspect is several other people including some in the current administration also accepted money. And they didn't even give it back. ??

Go figure.

Oh dear oh dear.

Don't forget to put the tin foil hat on!

So the UAE authorities lied when they said she entered the UAE and then left for the UK?

Did the UAE authorities say that, or did the Thai government say that the UAE authorities had told them that?

I don't know, and I'm too busy making ever more elaborate tin foil hats to chase that down.

It is quite suspect, indeed, to receive money from a company chaired by Meechai Ruchuphan! :cheesy:

What's quite suspect is that the guy chairing the company who was the recipient of a Bt9.9 billion high risk loan used for money laundering did not seem to know anything about it! And of course has never been suspected!

Interesting theory, but in the age of mobile phones/internet etc it is not too hard to believe that Yingluck is not being held in a dungeon somewhere against her will. There are too many ways for her presence in Thailand to be betrayed. She may well be in the U.K. keeping a very low profile. But as you infer, the silence is almost deafening.

Who cares, it's of no importance to many people.

She can't be in Thailand. The cops have prosecuted someone for driving her to the border. emoji3.png

Yep 1 + 1 always equals 3 in Thailand.

If you mean that the PTP (with Thaksin's input) is giving thought to its performance at the next election you are obviously right - as are all other political parties.

Where you become incoherent is to suggest there will be a resort to illegal means. Most authorities including the Junta are well aware that in any fairly conducted election the Thai people will give the same verdict as it has always done in the last 15 years. The primary purpose of the constitution is therefore is to prevent successful political movements taking a commanding position. The nomination of military stooges and place men is part of this plan.

So I'm puzzled by your suggestion the PTP will "go for broke" and "spark a coup".If anything sparks another coup it will be the realization of the old elites (who break laws without compunction when it suits their purpose) that their plan isn't working and the Thai people are actually insisting on a government of their choice.

He is being very quiet isn't he? Unusually so, since late August isn't it?

I'm sure it is totally unrelated, but has anyone seen his younger sister since about the same time? Four months is a jolly long time to stay indoors...

And for you to enjoy another suspected(*) criminal in the family (you will probably go on defending with their 'we did nothing wrong' mantra, whatever the truth of facts might show?) to, possibly(*), escape a, potentially(*), deserved sentence, is it?

(*) Just a suspect, not shown guilty at the time.

Yeah, indeed, I thought she was enjoying a luxury life in London, or is that another of Thakky's daughters?

Well so much for the interesting and rational discussion on Yinglucks whereabouts which a number of us were having several hours ago.

Gone for a ball of chalk now the haters and frothers have polled up...

And I'm 'puzzled by your suggestion' there could possibly not be any 'resort to illegal means', as whenever did the Shins win any election without, massively, doing so...? Oh, not saying, IMO all, other political parties were, ever, 'clean', but it seems in their 'turfs' votes cost a multiple from what 'grassroots' in North and North East expect, ...and in those 'turfs' the promise of all getting rich within 3 years (you remember that one, by Thakky, don't you?) doesn't work well there (anymore?). It's not about black vs. white, or, here, red vs. yellow, will you never get it? And your worn off propaganda 'old elites' stuff might still work in red villages, but you, don't you know it's all about the 'new elites', all Chinese families with Thai nationality, running the show? Not only in politics: finance, commerce, industry, etc. the same.

Who had it about Yingluck here, except you? Not me! As far as the official genealogy goes, she's supposed to be Thaksin's sister, isn't she ...? I just didn't know exactly which of the official both girls sharing a name with their 'oaf' brother which start sounding like breaking Baccarat crystal Champagne flutes, LOL

Yes. But what nags away at me (putting it perhaps a tad melodramatically) is not the silence - that could be explained by the application for political asylum - but the complete lack of any sightings. It really is as if she has disappeared into thin air. There are many ways that her presence in Thailand might be betrayed, but there are even more ways in which her presence outside of Thailand could/would be revealed. That, combined with the silence, and lack of comment from Thaksin, is what I find surprising. It is almost as if they have found a way to silence him.

Na-ah, come on, be genuine for once, dear JAG, you old ass, what nags you is that nobody among your friends who are close to the family trusted you enough to tell you where she really is! LOL

Khun Eric, when 10M is 'not exactly large amount' for you, you must be really well paid for what you do... Not only writing for them on TV then, I guess, LOL

If in your rather confused post you are essentially talking about vote buying please do your homework. The subject has been discussed and references given on this forum many times.
