Holidaymakers at Chumporn beach warned of strong wind and waves

CHUMPORN, 2 January 2018 (NNT) – The commander of the 44th Military Circle has warned travelers to Toong Wua Lan Beach in Chumporn province of strong wind and waves.

Commander of the 44th Military Circle Maj Gen Tithi Thitasiri joined Chumporn Disaster Prevention and Mitigation authority Theerayuth Chantadiswong and Chumporn Transport authority Suchada Puakprasert to inspect service stops and assistance centers for off shore activities at Toong Wua Lan Beach in Chumporn’s Patiw district. They paid particularly attention to the area as it has drawn a large amount of tourists this holiday season.

Maj Gen Tithi relayed concern from the government to revelers engaging in water based activities and assured them that security units are watching out for them. He urged them to pay attention to warning signs and indicator flags put up to help keep them safe.

He reminded that children playing in the sea should be supervised at all times and noted that there are strong winds and waves at this time. He pressed relevant authorities to prepare all needed equipment in case a rescue operation is necessary.
