Aaah Immigration working efficiently as usual another quality tourist let into LOS then allowed 59 days overstay.

A girl falls from a balcony and the guy just happens to be a former convicted violent rapist. Unbelievable that some actually think he is just a poor innocent guy...

Normally it's the farang who falls from the balcony !

Is this a news story or an excerpt from a cheap porn novel?  As they were about to climax, she fell over the balcony.  What a new low in journalistic reporting. I feel dirty reading the article and disgusted with what has been said.  How about life w/o parole in the Bangkok Hilton.  He's likely to have some weird times there I wager.

Pity immigration can't be bothered to flag these types upon entering Swampy airport and send them back before they legally enter. It states he was a convicted rapist in the story for crying out loud, If that does not send out warning bells to airport immigration  i don't know what will!

Pity the UK police force(s) looking for him can't catch him before he flees the UK. Pity the UKBF don't bother with exit checks on passports. Relying on checking air line passenger lists doesn't seem to stop the fugitives from leaving as plenty seem to get caught overseas.

And, we assume that he entered Thailand on a visa waiver 30 days? If so, was his passport flagged up as wanted by the UK? Had the UK done anything to alert other countries?

thing just keep getting better for this toe rag 26? looks like he eats too many pies.

Toe rag yes, a nutter, turned his life around with drugs and rape, bashing girls and then going to a bar after his girl falls from the balcony after a climax, with her phone, overstaying 59 days, something seriously wrong with this guys head.

I suspect that the poor women did not fall and this guy is a psychopathic liar.

Just another foreign pos in Thailand.

lock the mongrel up-throw away the key...i hope the british justice system  catches up with him, also---he is a repeat offender-will continue to be, until locked up....

Why would they ever let a convicted rapist and other crimes into Thailand?  He did time after punching a teenager repeatedly in the face before raping her.

Keep the nasty scum like this out of the country.

Why would they ever let a convicted rapist and other crimes out of the U.K?

RIP !! Loss of life at such a young age.

They should throw the book at him. I not concerned about his excuses. He obviously has issues. Even if he was doing it on the balcony .... you take the risk you pay the price. And in this case a young lady lost her life.

Best wishes to her family.

Unfortunately UK does not share any criminal record information with Thailand on a routine basis, so with anybody turning up on a British passport entering Thailand on a tourist visa or visa exemption, immigration would have no idea of any past crimes, no matter how bad they are, the only way that this could happen is if the UK had placed a Interpol notice on a person.

As far as I am aware, the only visas that requires a criminal record check prior to issuing are the O-A or O-X visas.

I love the part about starting a new life in Thailand, yes new life 59 days over stay to get it off to a good start. I would also wonder where his funds for living came from

I think more to the point, how come the UK would let him leave with, according to the British tabloids, an outstanding warrant at the present time?

How many more quality Brit tourists are residing/hiding here in Thailand

hope the government carry,4 s on looking for those who should not be here

Drug issues, a conviction for rape of a teenager followed by a prison sentence, mental health issues and only 25, this guy hadn't made a one off mistake but had the sort of history that makes him high-risk.  I wouldn't want people like this moving to my country just as I am sure most Thais wouldn't want foreigners with this sort of profile in their country.  And then he goes on to overstay his visa, not be a day or two but a period of time that shows his blatant disregard for the law.

If I said what I'd like to see happen to this guy given what he did to that poor girl my account on this forum would surely be terminated.  May the poor lady rest in peace, and may this sack of turd rot in hell.

"We feel really sorry for the girl and her family. It was an accident, we know it was. It’s awful.”

an accident. Sure,  just like the teenage girl he raped and hit with a bin lid in the UK.

Accident ? We know it was ('nt) lock this animal away, and then deport it. Weirdo.

RE - Vella moved to Thailand to "start a new life" and "get out of trouble", according to his brother Andrayoss,

“He did have a problem with drugs, and served a stint in prison. But he had turned his life around", Andrayoss told the Mirror.

Must say he really managed to Reach his target to turn his life around or should we say upsidedown....:coffee1:

Starting a new life in Thailand ?

No visa ?   59 days overstay already ?

Right..

Sounds like a case of drunken naughtiness gone horribly wrong. The bloke obviously stupid for not helping her and fleeing the scene, but maybe he was aware that the local cops' ill repute would likely have him stitched up for something had he stuck around.

And it is sad how Thai suspects are able to cover their faces with hats, sunglasses and surgical masks when they get lifted while this guy's mug is viewable by all and sundry.

RIP to the girl, this guy is toast now and probably not for the reasons he should be. A sad case all round

Yes just liked he was stitched up for violent rape and fleeing a drug arrest and overstaying his visa and stealing a motorbike and ..... always an excuse when you are a criminal and get caught.

I agree and do not understand why it is so different. :(

Yep, I agree entirely with your sentiment.  Cases like this make me really want to see Thailand look in to people's backgrounds when it comes to visa applications.  - And the law does say that in the case of anyone who has been sentence to 12 months or more in Thailand is not allowed to enter Thailand (but of course they don't ask about this, let alone actually check or require a police clearance cert.)  Plenty of countries require visa applicants to provide a police clearance certificate when applying for anything beyond a short-term visa and convictions or jail-time can - especially in the case of a sentence of a year or more - help to keep out people like this fellow.

Looks like he's had a hard life if he is only 25 (if in fact it is his real passport).

On overstay as some posters report.

Took her phones.

Ran away.

I hope the cops look a lot closer into his background as he doesn't sound like a lad fresh off the boat who had a tragic incident.

Perhaps something more sinister going on.

My post from yesterdays thread. Seems I wasn't too wide of the mark.

Right..

Pattaya isn't exactly the prime choice for a place to come to straighten yourself out.

Actually it has been reported he rented the bike , so maybe that part of the story is true. But he's been living here for 4 months so why would he rent a bike only for a few days.

Sometimes he didn't need, or couldn't afford, a bike

A 25-year-old guy with such a history can hardly be trusted, can he? Considering that he took her phone AND KEPT IT shows an enormous degree of stupidity/ insanity.

Also with him being on an overstay and theft of phones , suggests that he didnt have any money.

Maybe his intentions were to rob and rape her ?

He woke up early , tried to leave the room without paying her and took her phone , she woke up and objected and he  pushed her away onto the balcony with such force that she went over , he then continued with his escape

You think if immigration knew his history they would welcome him to Thailand?  What in your expert opinion did immigration not bother or fail to do? You are probably also a constant complainer of 90 day reporting etc. no one can do it as good as you yet you have never done it. 5555

Stop right there, because your attempt to offer sympathy for the accused is  unfounded.

The man is a convicted violent offender with an outstanding controlled drug warrant. As a criminal fugitive, he lost his right to privacy.

Your claim that "maybe he was aware of the local cops reputation etc" is a pathetic insult to peoples' intelligence. How about the man was aware that as a convicted violent offender with an outstanding criminal warrant he was subject to immediate arrest and deportation?

The perhaps might  also apply to the circumstances under which the woman met her violent death, as in perhaps he knew he had  gone too far, once again?

The use of the dismissive expression " sounds like a case of drunken naughtiness" might be acceptable to those with  an absence of respect for women and who are in the Pattaya area to engage in depraved acts of debauchery, but it is a pathetic, feeble excuse for a repeat violent offence. The woman was moved off the balcony and then left to suffer an agonizing painful death alone, in an act the law calls a depraved act of indifference by this previously convicted violent rapist. The offender has already demonstrated that he  is a violent offender as he beat up a young women and then savagely raped her.

Stop making excuses.
