Maybe not so surprising. I remember reading about higher birth rates 9 months after major electricity failures in the last century.

Pornhub probably had more accurate current events than the mainstream 'news'.  

They all climbed out of their shelters and were searching for pizza delivery services.

 

a far more likely explanation would be that roughly 20% of people planning to shake it between 8:09 and 8:39 returned after the all-clear.

 

As in: Ah... just a false alam. So... where were we..
