A joint sting operation between immigration and tourist police in the southern Thai city of Hat Yai resulted in the arrest of a 25 year old Taiwanese man yesterday.

 

The cops told Manager that Hao Chun Chang had been responsible as part of a gang for 800,000 baht being ripped off in fraud from Thai people just the previous day.

 

The suspect was followed around a number of city ATMs until he was arrested red handed with 23,160 baht in cash and other evidence.

 

Investigations continue.
