I purchased a bike with a green book registered in Bangkok and want to change it to Chonburi.

Does anyone have experience changing a green or blue book?

Can it be accomplished at the one of the Chonburi LTD locations without going to Bangkok? Procedure and cost?

Understand that multiple trips to C. LTO are necessary.

An agent can do for maybe 3000baht for small bike.

Maybe less...

Ask at those yellow-geared-logo inspection stations.

Or ladies outside Regents LTO.

If you dont want / or they wont let you do it in Bangkok you'll need to go to the main Chonburi DLT actually in Chonburi its self
at least 2 trips needed they will inspect the vehicle change province in the book and issue new number plate...
Not sure if they'll ask for "certificate of residence" or equivalent proof when only changing province but not owner ?

OP,  presuming you already got the sellers proxy so you can do it all, otherwise the seller need to accompany you. You will need Cert of res or work permit. As others have said the agents do make it easier and its quicker at the main Chonburi office. Other offices need to wait for plates and documents from main office.

What happen with me was i bought a motorbike second hand in Khon Kaen. My name was in the Green Book. I then went to Chonburi transport office where they change the name and number plate. Can't remember all the details but was pretty straight forward. Two visits required though.

Also be aware that you dont "have to" change the registered province as you can pay tax and insurance anywhere. The problem can come when/if you want to sell the bike and the new owner then has to do the "move province" the problem will be for them not you...unless of course the new buyer lives in Bangkok then no problem as no need to move provinces ...
Confused? You won't be, after this week's episode of...Soap.

I once made a post where i explained how to do it exactly, so if you really want to know it in detail you can try to find it

But basically: You need to make two trips to the DLT in Chonburi, first change the provice, a few days later change the name.
