The reason the topic was closed because of the large number of notifications that are generated by every post which was causing a problem during the upgrade.

It makes me think of a violent argument between husband and wife, either they can both make compromises and patch things up or the marriage falls apart. A collapse of the Euro may be a joyful prospect for brexiteers but the reverberations of this earthquake would be felt worldwide with some awful consequences for just about everybody before things settle down. I can imagine however a scenario where the weak return to their currencies and leave the EU and a strong core remains, whatever, this is going to be complicated.

You do not imagine a scenario, we used to have that in the past, it was called the Common Market in those days. The only complication to returning to the Common Market will be caused by the EU Institutions, who will find themselves subject to mass unemployment and they will not give up their seat on the Brussels gravy train without a fight. 4

Popular Post The Renegade
On Friday I posted this in response to some unsubstantiated poll. On 5/25/2018 at 2:22 PM, The Renegade said: Instead of publishing polls. I thing the EU should put their money where their mouth is. Instruct all EU Governments that in their next National election an addendum is to be added. Do you agree that the EU should continue on its current path to a Supra-National single state Or Should the EU revert back to a simple Trading Agreement, overseen by a Single Trading Commission. Sort it one way or the other. Which was immediately attacked, using all sorts of strawman arguments by remainers. Did this guy read my comment ? Quote “The election is going to resemble a referendum, de facto, on the European Union and the euro,” said Francesco Galietti, head of political risk consultancy Policy Sonar in Rome. “It’s an existential threat for the entire euro zone.” https://www.reuters.com/article/us-italy-politics-euro-election-analysis/italys-fresh-election-risks-being-referendum-on-euro-idUSKCN1IT1IF Nah, you are wrong Francesco, according to the remainers on here, there is no threat and they publish childish cartoons showing increasing support for the EU project.

You chose to try and find something negative in the safe future of British jobs, just to bolster your pro-EU narrative; I find that rather sad It must be very demanding, getting up everyday and looking for the bad in anything good, the negative in anything positive, looking for pessimism where there is optimism and hope. The article you have posted talks about another election in Italy and makes no mention of the EU adding any questions to it, indeed it does not mention anything about a specific question about membership of the EU but appears to be an opportunity for voters to elect a eurosceptic party as happens in a normal general election.Sent from my iPad using Thailand Forum - Thaivisa mobile app

Read anything positive about anything that is not brexit? Does this help? Britain’s economy is surging ahead, rebounding rapidly from a slow start to the year according to an index of economic indicators by experts at Goldman Sachs. GDP growth could hit 0.5pc in the second quarter, the investment bank believes, shrugging off a 0.1pc slump in the first quarter. The investment bank has created the index using public and private data, which suggest the UK is on track for growth of 0.4pc. This indicates the slowdown was caused by “erratic and idiosyncratic” factors including the snow, said Andrew Benito, UK economist at Goldman Sachs. He believes there could be an extra recovery on top of that as corporate investment growth and exports pick up. https://www.telegraph.co.uk/business/2018/05/27/uk-economy-has-bounced-back-already-according-goldman-sachs/ and this https://www.huffingtonpost.co.uk/entry/dog-adopts-nine-baby-ducklings-and-its-beyond-adorable_uk_5b03d469e4b0463cdba584de?utm_hp_ref=uk-good-news
