Hello, just wonder if someone could help?

I've fallen over and broken my wrist, stupidity didn't have any travel insurance this trip, I have been to bangkok samui hospital and was quoted 360,000 baht for the operation needed, I can't afford this amount and just wondering if someone knows a more reasonable priced good hospital for treatment,

am planning to go to bangkok tomorrow,

Any help much appreciated,

Thank you,

I don't have any suggestions, as I live in Issan.

But 360kbaht.......I had a Total Hip Replacement 6 months ago, & that only cost 120k baht.....

Someone will post up which hospital to go to soon.

Good luck & enjoy the rest of your holiday.

It may seem to be a bit out of the box....but book a flight to India, get it done there.  Am guessing with flights, accomodations, visa, will be well less than half.

The least expensive places are government hospitals but these are very difficult for visitors to naviagtae = no English spoken, all signs in Thai, ling wiats and lots of red tape etc

When you get to Bangkok I suggest you go to St Louis Hospital on Sathorn road, it is an easy walk from the Surasak BTS station. It is private but not for profit and quality of care is usually good.

With a broken wrist, you can eliminate a lot of the waiting time at government hospitals by using the emergency room.

Try Bangkok, hospital, rayong. I know someone who broke his wrist, complicated operation, took 2 hrs then two nights stay. Cost 125,000 Baht. His Thai wife then barted the price down to 97,000.  Very good surgeon, no further complications.

I do think that's way too expensive! Yes, 100K should reasonable enough. That price given to you would be a usual quote in high-end hospitals like Samitivej, etc. I have tried Bangkok Christian Hospital and Kasemrad. Plenty of options in BKK. Good luck.
