OK, we are both correct.

Still, a stupid thing to say it would be easier with a gun.  True, it would. But, it would also be easier with a knife, a bat, a pipe or just being so much bigger and stronger.

Boll-cks. It's a violent crime as far as the victim is concerned.

Or are you advocating the perpetrator should explain afterwards on the lines of 'by the way, that wasn't violent, just showing you I'm more powerful than you.'

Let's stick a little closer to the topic.   Some of the side issues may be interesting, but we really aren't talking about inventions or what motivates rapists.
