Over 50 per cent of construction work on the new Parliament has been completed, and the new compound could possibly be in use by the time the new MPs and Senators arrive next year, said Pornpetch Wichitcholchai, National Legislative Assembly (NLA) president while inspecting the site on Wednesday.

Pornpetch said the meeeting hall of the parliamentary meeting would be completed around March next year, while another meeting hall for the Senators would be completed by the end of this year.

If that was the case, parliamentarians could move and work there, Pornpetch said.

Afterwards, the land plot of the present Parliament would be returned to the Bureau of the Royal Household, because it is actually a royal premise, Pornpetch added.

The first 90% of the work takes the first 90% of the development time. The remaining 10% of the work takes the other 90% of the time.

great... but i thought 100% was the total time not 180%... you probably wanted to write down something like 10% and 90% ?

Anyway its often like that then they got most of the money but in reality that 10% is not 10% but a lot more that has to be done. So many crooks around.

And today we learn that Parliament has almost tripled the budget request for its relocation project from 3 billion baht to 8.6 billion baht.

Clearly everything's fine and dandy.  No corruption or incompetence there.

I recon they should just use the new place as a Leisure Center and let China run the place, they own all the good stuff here anyway.[emoji1351]‍[emoji505]
