Beware of edges tho' - tops of fenders, corners, etc. Easy to apply too much pressure or spend too much time in these areas, and a sharp thin line like a corner will heat up quickly and the pad will lift the paint. Sure work good on hoods, trunk lids, roof, etc. Lambs wool is the old school choice, but the types of foam pads available now soak up polish better and are more soft. Keep the polisher going - do not hold it stationary, and if you want to shut it off keep it rotating until you come off the paint. Then chop the power.
