Many women disagree with some of the precepts of feminist orthodoxy but have difficulties airing their views

They may disagree but if the influences of Feminism give them cash or privilege they will go with it. That is human nature and in particular female nature. I sense women tend to follow like 'sheep' even more than society as a whole.
