It depends where you are... if you live in a hot climate then heat kills batteries, but if you live in a cold climate then cold kills batteries... ????????‍♂️

Just wanted to post this bit of knowledge from my own experience with a Boliden "Maintenance Free" battery (3400 Baht Dec 2016) It is in an old BMW E30 which I do not use very often but has a trickle charger connected. Having left the car for approx 1 month recently I went to start and battery was dead. Tried charging with a bigger "intelligent" charger and got the CCA up to approx 180. Original factory number is >700. Although supposedly maintenance free, I pried the top off with a knife / screwdriver and found six plugs as you would in 'old style' battery. Removing these I discovered the fluid levels were low on most of the cells and I refilled with distilled water. I am not sure if I can save this battery, but in future I suggest checking 'maintenance free' batteries fluid levels every 6-12 months.

If you had a less expensive GS heavy duty battery you could leave the car for 1 month without trickle charge and it would be fine for 3 months just disconnect one terminal.

I would say you have over cooked your present battery in the first place, maybe the charger developed a fault.
