Songkran major traffic exodus begins?

Featured Replies

When approximately are the major dates of movement for Songkran? The official dates say 13-15 but I know it’s longer than that. I’m planning an non Songkran related trip and want to avoid all that crap at all cost. Thanks!

How is the situation at the Nong Khai border while Songkran?

I would say the 10th-11th culminating at peak time on the 12th evening and 13th morning.

The smart ones start heading for the door about the 10th of April and the really smart ones never come back....lol...??

The day before the weekend before and it culminates the day after the weekend after.... that is my experience of living near a major highway...

Nice One.

It should be noted that Songkran in Pattaya is usually from around the 10th to the 19th.  Not so in the rest of the country.

Here in Hua Hin, it starts in the evening of the 12th followed by a day of mayhem finishing in the evening of the 13th.
