Thailand - not worldwide- health insurance

The links in Pungdo's response appear to offer some hope. A Swedish expat group is working with Bangkok Insurance Brokers to come up with a plan for us old gits. If it gets launched it will only provide treatment in state hospitals (not private), but that's ok for me. It needs as many people as possible to register an interest.

My husband would be def. interested. But he like most old gits have a few flaws. Would those be covered.

  • I was just looking for health insurance myself yesterday - I came up with this local website that will even do you an online quote. Covers up to 90 years old... https://misterprakan.com/en/health

  • Have a look at this, I don't think it has gotten off the ground yet and from what I read it will only provide cover for Thai Government Hospitals, which is better than nothing. http://www.insurance-i

  • I use these guys:   https://www.thaihealth.co.th/2012/index_eng.php   Good luck

I use this plan offered jointly by five Thai companies and coverage by Allianz Global.

Main drawback is coverage only effects for 60 days, then you have to leave & re-enter. This means I'm not covered way too much of the time.

And only good till 70.

Disclaimer: And I've never had to claim yet!

I contacted the Pacific Cross office in Udon Thani. Insurance is not available for over 65s.
okay padavid, i entered pacific cross before 65 and they keep me for lifetime. i foregot......

I don't know. I suggest you go to the website, register an interest, then wait to see if it takes off
