Maybe you should get out more then.

  • Wife got donuts from dunkin once and offered me a bite of hers. It had some white frosting and a cotton candy looking substance over that. Turned out to be some kind of mayonnaise and shredded pork. T

That article is from Nov. 2016, a lifetime in small retail food outlets here. I wonder if the two Siam Paragon places mentioned are even still there -- Pablo's and Once Upon a Milkshake.  I don't recall ever even seeing those places.

Was out at Siam Paragon today, and was thinking about the milkshakes topic while out and about. Thus...

--The Once Upon a Milkshake place mentioned in the prior BKK Mag article is gone from Paragon, according to the customer service staff there.

--The Pablo's place is still there on the G level, very close to the Krispy Kreme donuts outlet there. I'd walked past the place dozens of times without ever paying much attention to it (after all, the name Pablo's doesn't tell you much about a place.)

At any rate, Pablo's menu seems to have what they call "smoothies" and no mention I saw of "milkshakes." But I'm not sure what the practical difference is between the two here, and their menu didn't seem to list any ingredient descriptions. But it looks like they're making their shakes from their brand of soft serve ice cream.
