Sawasdee krap everyone,

Last week I did a borderrun to Cambodia to get my last 90 days out of my ME Non-O visa. Unfortunatly, I made a stupid mistake and didn't look to the enter before date of my visa. That said it's the 18th of April, I went on the 19th of April cause I was pretty sure that was my last day. Stupid stupid stupid I know so don't have to tell me that;-)

I'm on a 30 day visa exemption now. On the 3rd of August I will fly back to my home country to work over there.

My question is, can I extend my 30 days exemption with 60 days? I'm married to a Thai. I saw somewhere before that that's possible but I can't find it again. Also, do I have to show proof of funds for the 60 days extension based on marriage?

Last question, I've got a work permit, that expires on the 15th of May. I'm planning to quit my job over there. My WP was on a Non-O visa but I don't have that anymore. Does it mean that my WP will be cancelled immediately based on the fact that you are not able to have a WP on a visa exemption/tourist visa.

Thanks for all the useful replies!

You can get a 60 day extension no need to show any money but bring marriage certificate and the wife.

You can not work on visa exempt entry or tourist visa entry.

You can apply for a 60 day extension to visit your wife of your 30 day visa exempt entry. No financial proof is required.

Your work permit will not be cancelled but it is technically no longer valid since a non immigrant visa is required to have one.
